The doctor's office I currently go to uses both hospitals. I am checking out both, but just wanted to know what personal experiences everyone has had and which hospital they prefer. My son was born at Mt. Clemens General and we had a great experience there.

What can I do next?

I had my baby last May at St. John. I loved the experience there. All of my nurses took great care of me and the staff as a whole was wonderful!

I had my daughter at MCGH; wasn't impressed with them for some various reason.

Had my boys at St. Johns. Loved it.
I have heard more pros about St. Johns vs. Bon Secours.

I had my son last year at st. johns. I had the choice of the same two hospitals. Bon Secours did not have nicu just in case something did happen they told me I would not beable to go with him if he had to be moved. That scared me alittle! We has great care at st johns

Hi K.,

I had the option of either hospital as well and I chose St. John. We had a wonderful experience there; wonderful birthing suites and friendly nurses. One of the reasons I decided to go to St. Johns is because they have a Neo-natal unit, Bon Secours does not. God forebide anything happen, I wanted to give my baby the best care possible without delay. I know they offer tours of both hopsitals, you may want to sign up for those just to see where you feel the most comfortable. For me, the second I visited St. Johns, it was an easy choice. Best of luck with your new little one!!!
