Every summer I break out in pimples on my upper chest, shoulders and back and I'm sick of it! Can anyone recommend an over-the-counter body wash specifically for break-outs? Something inexpensive that i can buy at any local store? I've been using Neutrogena but it's not working. It feels like a losing battle with this heat and humidity. Thanks!!

What can I do next?

I've had the best luck with panoxyl bar found at Walgreens or other drug store places. I use it every other day and on the off days I use Paula's Choice BHA gel.

The biggest culprit is probably your conditioner. After you condition your hair, pull your hair up, then wash your back.

I use a loofah to scrub my back with. Just make sure you let it dry well and replace often.

What ever you use, go to www.CosmeticsDatabase.com and enter the name of the product , to see how toxic and how many chemicals, which are more harm than good.

What is acne?

Acne is : Congested pores Whiteheads Blackheads Pimples Pustules Cysts
These skin blemishes occur wherever there are oil glands, mainly on the face, chest and back.

What causes acne?

No one factor causes acne. Acne happens when oil glands come to life around puberty. Oil is a natural substance which lubricates and protects the skin. Under certain circumstances cells that are close to the surface block the openings of oil glands and cause a buildup of oil underneath. This oil stimulates bacteria ( which live on everyone’s skin and generally cause no problems), to multiply and cause surrounding tissues to become inflamed.

Who gets acne?

Acne can affect people from ages 10 through 40. It is not unusual for women, in particular, to develop acne in their mid-to-late 20’s, even if they have not had breakouts in years (or ever). Sometimes newborns have acne because their mothers pass hormones to them just before delivery.

Some medications may cause or worsen acne, such as those containing iodides, bromides, or oral steroids. Most cases of acne are not drug related.

How can the xanthones in Mangosteen help acne?

Xanthones in the mangosteen juice is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and hormone modulators. Since the cause of acne involves all three elements it makes sense to use the mangosteen juice. The juice should be taken by mouth three times a day and applied to all the affected areas using the cotton swab

Take half a bottle boil it down to half it’s amount to make it concentrated.
Bottle it and apply it to the surface.Take 2ozs three times a day with meals. And drink lots of water, preferable distilled water.

Try using acne wash and/or acne pads. A lot of times scrubs are too harsh on our skin and can cause breakouts to become more flared. So I would only use it 2x's a week and scrub gently.
