I'm 31 weeks pregnant with my second child and in the past 10 days I've experienced the following three times - blurry vision in right eye upon waking up lasting a few minutes. It then goes back to normal for the rest of the day. There is no headache with it. Is this related to pregnancy or not? Or is something wrong with my eyes? My blood pressure this pregnancy has been around 115/80 and stable. I am paranoid about preclamsia could this be it? Has anyone else experienced this?

What can I do next?

This is a wonderful opportunity to call your doctor and ask him/her. You've mentioned eyes and pre-eclampsia, and neither are things to fool around with. Please call your doctor's office right away.

Yes it's pregnancy related.
You fluids, fluids retention and various fluid pressures (even fluid inside your eyes) can vary widely while pregnant.
It's one of the major reasons they won't do Lasik surgery on a pregnant woman and will wait till 6 months after birth (or some even insist on waiting till after weaning from breast feeding) so the vision of the eye is stabilized enough to make the surgery accurate.

I somewhat frequently have blurry vision in one eye when I wake up. It's usually when I've been sleeping on my side and my eye has been against the pillow. I also sometimes have a bit of mucous in one eye or both that causes my vision to be blurry until I blink a few times.

I would consider these possibilities and if you're still concerned call your doctor's advice nurse.

It's worth getting this checked out. I'm someone who only learned I have a degenerative eye condition through a routine eye exam. You don't want to mess around with anything related to your eye. The earlier they catch things, the better.
