I am trying to figure out what to do for my daughter's 6th bday. She doesn't want to do skating, or incredible pizza or anything like that and i don't want to do a party at my house. A problem is that her b-day party wouldn't be until the weekend before kids go back to school from spring break. I dont want to spend a ton of money either. I have thought about taking her out of town to Dallas for the day to the zoo or to the aquarium down there. I am just not sure what I want to do. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance

What can I do next?

J.,
My daughter is about to turn 10 in a couple of weeks. She is at the point where she is to old for Chuck E Cheese ect.
So we are thinking about letting her envite 3 or 4 of her best friends and take them to the movies and then a dinner after. I'll let her pick. Maybe your daughter would like something like that.

My daughter turned 10 last Oct and she had 2 of her friends stay the night and we went to Celebration Station played mini golf, video games and ate pizza. Then the next day we had her birthday party with the rest of her friends and family at the club house in out mobile home park.

Maybe a sleep over with a few friends with rented movies, popcorn and pizza.

Little girls are such fun! You could have a girl's only day of Glamour! She could bring a friend or two. Get dressed up! Maybe even a little make up! Start the morning with hot chocolate and muffins at the local coffee shop followed by mani's and pedi's at the salon. The one in Quail Springs mall is nice. You can keep it simple and cheep by getting the nails painted only, not the works. You could even make a pit stop into the Build a Bear shop. She could create a birthday bear for her and one more to take home to little brother. Lunch would be a delight at Inspirations Tea room in Edmond. I take my daughter there. We LOVE it! It is beautiful. They serve the most precious lunches for little princesses. She will even get her own tea pot and tea cup to drink from. The prices are great. You and she can eat for around $20. For extra fun you could buy her a boa, crown and big super star sunglasses to wear for the day. I would also suggest taking along a video camera. Tell her to pretend that she is famous like Hannah Montana. Pretend that you are doing “A day in the Life of Her”. It will be lot's of fun to watch the video later that evening. Play the part, use words like darling, divine and stunning. If she is the ham that my kids are she will live it up! The video will be a priceless possession. If you do invite friends you could attach a small lipstick or sunglasses to the invitation telling them that "It's time to get Glitzy and Glamorous for a day of STAR treatment." Ask people to take lot's of pictures, after all, you will be followed by the paparazzi!

I love birthday's! We should celebrate the birth of our precious children more often!
