Hi all,
Can you please suggest some fun party ideas & or a good party entertainer.
Both my kids ages (turning) 7 (boy) & 2 (girl) are june babies.
I have planned their birthdays together.

Now I don`t know what to do to keep both the age groups entertained. totally lost :-(
We have rented our community club house ,can`t do bounce house there..

I also want to know if you could refer some custom cake baker who do not charge a fortune :-)

Thanks in advance

What can I do next?

I agree with Leah.. are you actually inviting 2 year old's? Or is your daughter the only 2 year old?

I cannot imagine what they could do together that would be fun for the older kids and safe for the 2 year old's.

Who will be watching your 2 year old while you are running the party?
Can your husband do that, or will he want to supervise the 7 year old boys.

Maybe a treasure hunt with a map and then hide treats around the property.

Pinata

Obstacle course races with prizes..

Remember boys like to be active, so 1 craft.. MAY be ok.. but over all they will want to run around.

For the 2 yr old group, I would add a mini play toy set kitchen.
A kids table & chairs.
Plastic dishes so they can play house, kitchen, restaurant.
Add a few dolls.
Add 2 toy strollers for them to push the dolls around in.

You can have two play areas (one for the big kids, one for the tiny kids) and put them right next to each other.

Add bean bags for bean bag toss.
Mini bowling lanes w/plastic piins & balls. Maybe 2 lanes.
Can you afford to have someone that can blow balloons making them into animals etc?
For the 7 yr old boys, you could add several water guns, basketballs etc.

Just think 2 separate age groups & their specific interests.
Then have things/toys/items geared to each age group.
Just have them in 2 sep areas next to each other.

I assume your two year old doesn't really have *friends* so to speak (?) so just concentrate on entertaining the older kids.
(If you ARE planning to have a bunch of two year olds I can't help you there, other than advise you to hire someone to look after them and change diapers during the party!)
A treasure hunt, pin the tail on the donkey, cupcake/cookie decorating, pinata.
Just keep it simple and it will be more fun for all :)
If you do cupcakes there's no need for a custom cake baker, cheaper and WAY more fun for the kids!

I don't know how it would be possible to have a group of 2yo and a group of 7 yo safe and entertained at the same time without the assistance of a lot of parents, as each of the groups need to be kept separated.

The only thing that I can think of that might work for both age groups is a clown.

If you have a SuperWalmart near you, they should be able to help. My SIL took a picture to them of what she wanted and one of the bakers said she could do it.

Tough age mix! But realistically your 2 yo doesn't have a circle of "friends" of her choosing. Gear it towards the 7 yo but have things for your 2 yo to do. I don't know of a party person in your area. Ask some of your mom friends in your neighborhood. If you have a pool, a pool party could be fun.
