Can anyone help me out on trying to figure out what to bring to the beach for a b-day party for my son turning 5, other than his cake. I am wanting to do hot dogs and chips, is there something else I could bring that's easy to pack along or is it enough what i am bringing already?

What can I do next?

How about something healthy? I'd say grapes or finger foods for a snack...something that will keep them hydrated as it's been so hot lately! Maybe a fruit bowl with watermelon? Happy 5th and enjoy it :)

We just had my daughters 10th birthday party at the beach and we all had a blast. This is what we did.

EZ up tent for shade
large table for food and gifts
sandwiches from publix
chips from sams club
coke, water and juice
watermelon
cookie cake too cute....

We gave out noodles to all the kids for the party favors. You could do beach buckets and put their names on it. We did that a few years ago.
We also did water ballon toss fun. Made sandcastles.

This is such a great party and everyone has a blast. Ours was at Honeymoon Island.

Best of luck...

I would think Hot Dogs and Chips are fine. If you wanted, you could also bring a box of fruit snacks. Don't forget Plenty of Drinks :)

Have fun

How about some cut up fruit? Like watermelon, cantelope, honeydew, grapes, etc? That's a staple anytime we go to the beach- when it's cold just out of the cooler it hits the spot if you're outside all day!

We just did my daughters at the park, and we gave out icees a little while after lunch. The kids loved them. After running around in the sun, they were hot and the kids just devoured them! We kept them in a cooler with 1 bag of ice, but they ended up a little liquidy, so if you do do them, try 2 bags of ice. Have fun!

Don't forget drinks. But for sure chips, hot dogs and cake should be plenty. We usually take a watermelon to the beach because it is the one time the kids can eat it from the rind and if they get it all over them no one cares because it will wash right off in the water.

Ok, here's what I just did for my son's birthday. I bought sand pails w/shovels, put the "goodie bag gifts" in the bottom, easter grass in the middle, and on top I put an uncrustable sandwich, in the wrapper, snack size chips or goldfish, and a capri sun. I also tied a helium filled balloon to each handle with each child's name written on it, since I had some younger kids w/different prizes. You can always bring a fruit salad or sliced melon as well.
Just an idea! Good Luck with your party!

Make it real easy and go to a Subway buy a few $6 subs and cut in small pcs. Drink boxes for the little ones and fresh fruit. They will enjoy that and so will you. Your idea is good too. Just save yourself some time.

Maybe just a few pbj sandwiches cut into kid sizes or shapes for anyone that doesn't eat/ want hotdogs. A sheet of cupcakes may be easier than a regular cake and it eliminates the need for more paper goods and trash and is easy for kids to each handle their own.

Watermelon, kids love watermelon and it is refreshing. Cut it up and wedges and let them have at it.

drinks & ice! You can get gallons of water turn one or two of them into lemonade. I would have an extra gallon of water to wash sandy hands off with, unless u will be located near a shower or bathroom. Extra sun block...people forget in the rush to get out of the house.

SUNSCREEN
WATER to drink

Great gift givaways
would be each kid getting
a pail filled with
a shovel
a sand toy
sunglasses
and a colorful hat to break the sun a bit.

and LOTS of smiles,
along with your camera.
