Birthday Ideas for 5 Yr Old

We are taking my soon to be 5 yr old to WDW for her actual birthday this year. But I still wanted to get a couple of her closest friends together for a small party for her. Any ideas that won't break the bank, since Disney is already doing that. She of course is the princess/diva type, 5 going on 15. There will probably be no more than 6 girls. Thanks so much for the help!

What can I do next?

What about a princess tea party? You could ask each girl to come dressed as their favorite princess and then serve "tea" (lemonade or hot chocolate) and cake.

There are also some great places in the Plano area that will host a tea party for you, but that gets a little more pricey.

Make sure when you go to Disney that stop and get her birthday pin at Town Hall (in the front of the park). Characters will sign her autograph book w/ Happy Birthday and take special notice to birthday children. We had our daughter wear hers on her hat. Also, any restaurant you go to in Disney will make a big deal about her b-day and if are at character meal venue they will come sing to her. Some places give a b-day souvenier. My daughter got a signed place mat, a signed hat, a keychain, etc.
Also, for a few close friends Paint N' Party is a great place for 5 year olds. It's on Parker and Independence in Plano. Not sure where you're located but I'm sure they have something like that in your neighborhood.

Have a great time in Disney! We had a blast!!

Lunar Golf--Miniature Golf in the dark with everything glowing in white and neon colors! I know there is a location for sure at Grapevine Mills. As of last fall, it was $6 per child. That included as many rounds of golf they wanted (unless they shot the last "bonus" shot) and a glow in the dark necklace. The kids have fun especially if they wear a lot of white! They have party tables you can reserve for about $10 a piece for 2 hours.

My daughter went to a party at Libby Lu. They have a store in North Park Mall. She absolutely loved it and wants to do her b-day there. It was great and taylored to my little "diva".

Their website is www.clublibbylu.com

OMG!!! I have the perfect answer to that- i think...How about a tea party??? My daughter had that last year for her 7th birthday- although, we should've done it sooner because it was so awesome and the tea set i got her would be more fitting for littler ones. I have tea serving good for 8 kids that I am willing to let you borrow ( i love the tea party so much I am willing to let you have one on me- or at least, entrust you with the tea set if you choose to do it. Not only is a tea party perfect for your little diva but as long as you don't have to pay for anything else but the food, it is very inexpensive. Anyway, if you do want to do this, i guess you can respond to my post and get a hold of me that way..i have all the other props, too, like pearls, hats, gloves. i am thinking of making a business out of this one day and it would be nice to have people as reference..let me know...
