I just started Weight Watchers and I am wanting to start doing exercises, I was wondering between two different video type: THE FIRM or TAE BO, could anyone let me know which one is the best one to choose from. Thank you very much

i BOUGHT tAE bO AND HATED IT BUT MY HUSBAND LOVED IT. i ACTUALLY RECCOMEND ONE OF THE 10 MINUTE WORKOUT, i JUST BOUGHT DANCE fit or something to that effect ($8.88 at Sams or $6ish on Amazon) It's 5, 10 min workouts and they are fun, easy and quick.

First, I want to say good for you to want to improve your health.

Then, after that, I think you should just choose a DVD, and then as you get into it, go get the other. The best way to maintain a healthy exercise program is to have variety. Doing the same routine over and over not only gets your body used to that routine, but also becomes dull. Personally, I enjoy a variety of Leslie Sansone's DVDs and have been doing those for a decade now.

I've known quite a few friends on weight watchers, and combining the program with exercise has really helped them lose weight and maintain the weight loss. Your are on on the right track!

Good luck and enjoy!

Sorry to throw a curve into the question, but, I love CORE SECRETS and it really worked... however, of the two that you named, I have done the TAE BO which took me a while to get the moves correct.

Good luck.

If you have Time Warner Cable than you can try both before you purchase them or continue to use both for free! Time Warner has a free exercise on demand channel with TONS of exercise programs you can choose from. I like that I can do something different everyday so my body doesn't get used to doing the same exercise and I don't "plateau" in my weightloss/body sculpting. Hope this helps! The channel is 1431.

I did Tae Bo for awhile, and it was alittle too much for me, and then I discovered Turbo Jam. It is a combo of jazzersize and Tae Bo, and is awesome. You really don't notice the workout b/c it is so much fun, and anyone can do it. The main workout is 20min long, so perfect to fit into a day. Good luck!

I highly recommend The Firm workouts. I have the traditional cardio/abs/body scuplting dvd and this is the most awesome workout video. You can start at a lower level and work your way up to advanced and you feel results within a week and definitely see results in two weeks. I have had the dvd for about 6-7 years and use it all the time. I love the way it makes me look and feel.

I have been out of town and just going through my email....so I am sorry if this message is delayed to you.... However, I am going to recommend two things to you... I started them in September last year and love them... The first is "10-Minute Trainer" -- I used this and lost about 10 lbs and over 10 inches just in the first month. Then, I bought Turbo Jam--continued losing pounds and inches and toning my body! I love Turbo Jam...it's motivating, and it's totally FUN! You can purchase these at www.beachbody.com or search them on Ebay.

Good luck!

Hi I am so glad you have asked this, I need one too..I got one on yoga and have not opened it yet so guess it is not going to work if I don't open it and do it..I am 58 and need to stretch so guess this might be the best one for me as of now. I have also lost over 20 lbs in this last year but just cutting down on things I was eating.. drinking more water and decaf. tea as I like tea and of course green tea.. I have heard that TAE BO is a great one too.. there are different levels.. I am kind of active but not as much since I had been sick but am getting better and they are telling me that exercise will also help me along the recovery road.. Good luck and Thanks for asking the best work out dvd.. Best of luck to you S.

Congrats on joining Weight Watchers. I lost 60 pounds with Weight Watchers and the Firm Videos. They are difficult at first but you will have such a sense of accomplishment when you are able to complete exercises you couldn't complete before. I also like them because they combine cardio and weight training so you get a well rounded workout, and you will quickly see results. I just started working out with the videos and attending Weight Watchers again to lose the baby weight that I have been holding on to for 15 months, better late than never.

I think that it is personal choice. I like the FIRM videos, esp the new WAVE program, but that is me. I have a bad knee and arthritis in my lower back. The Tae Bo videos are very difficult for me to do and the FIRM WAVE is a lower impact on my knee. I say do what you love. If you love to kick box and are physically able to do it, then get those. The FIRM also offers great support, so you may want to try those. Heck, if you can, do both!

Good luck.

Hey I think it is awesome that you are wanting to improve your health. I also did weight watchers and worked out to the Tae Bo video. The video was great but I have to agree with one of the other responses you need to change it up too. So I would try a video and then when you get used to it try the other one. Or you can always try fit tv, they have good videos and they change it up everyday. Wow wait till you start to see results. Its awesome!!! I lost ten pounds in two weeks. I wish you nothing but the best.
