There are several websites out there to make photo calendars/ photo books. I would like to make a calendar for my mother in law with pictures and everyone's' birthdays/anniversaries etc. What site is the best?

What can I do next?

Shutterfly, hands down. I've made at least 10 photo books and probably 3 calendars on their site. They have tons of page color/styles/fonts to choose from and I've been happy with every one of them. They also have great sales; sometimes their photobooks are 50% off. What a deal!

Shutterfly, they do an amazing job and have great customer service. I've been doing five calendars for gifts a year and have made countless books. It will tell you if your picture should not be printed a certain size because of the size of the pictures.

I have done a few calendars on www.Snapfish.com and they turned out wonderfully.

There is a company I have used for all of our Baptism announcements, called Tiny Prints. They just sent me an advertisement the other day and they now offer calendars as well. I might try that this year, as it seems to be even more beautiful than the Snapfish ones. I don't think you could go wrong with either one. www.TinyPrints.com

ETA: I just started looking at the ones from Tiny Prints, and the site redirects you to Shutterfly, so--I guess I will be trying Shutterfly this year.

I haven't done a calendar yet, but have done a book on both Shutterfly and Snapfish. On Shutterfly, the sky was the limit to the amount of control I had over where to put pictures, resizing pictures, adding text here and tilting it and so forth. Ie: They had great customization features. So that meant it took me FOREVER to get it just the way I wanted it. Snapfish - a few templates to choose from, no customization. So I was a bit bummed with it, but in the end, it took me a tenth the time to create the book. I didn't get to see the quality of the Snapfish book b/c I mailed it directly to the recipient. The Shutterfly book was very high quality I think. Love it.

I've always used Shutterfly, but if you"re a Costco member, they do this as well. Price is a little less, but there's no shipping. Design at home and then pick it up and pay. This is how I send pics to my MIL ... I upload them to the site and then have them printed at HER Costco ... saves me shipping and she has something to look forward to when she goes to Costco.

I have used Walmart. They are less expensive and I was pleased with the results.

Kodak gallery. I have used Shutterfly before and found their quality to be lacking. Some of the pictures also came out blurry but I know they were not when I submitted them. I love Kodak. Great quality paper and I have always been happy with the results.

For photo books, the Creative Memories Storybook Creator software allows you to design your own pages...it is awesome! Here is a link to a learning video about it and you can receive a 30 day free trial, which I love, to see if it works for you!

Picaboo is my absolute fave! The options available beat every other site I have used and they offer buy one/get one or deep discounts often via email!
