I'm looking to get a pull wagon for my son. I'm looking at the Radio Flyer, Little Tykes, and Step 2 wagons. I'm leaning toward the Step 2 Safari wagon but am not sure it will fit in our Subaru hatchback. Any suggestions or comments about any of the wagons would be much appreciated.

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone for the advice. I think we're going to go with the Radio Flyer (of course with rubber wheels!). We mainly need it for when we go to frisbee games with our son so it needs to fit in our car. Even though the Safari looks awesome, I think it's just too big. Thanks for all the advice!

the radio flyer is great it has seat belts too. I used it with my little from a year old and he is 4 and still use it. the other cool thing is the seat fold down and make it flat across.

I have a radio flyer with RUBBER wheels! This was important to me as those plastic ones are so NOISY!

I have a step 2 Safari wagon that has a cover and seats 2 kids. It has belts for safety and storage too. I love it, especially when the sun is hot, they are covered

We have the radio flyer with rubber wheels too, which we love! It goes over the lawn very well and is rugged. My car is a full size wagon and I have a very tough time getting it in there though. I had to put one of the back seats down. That is the only drawback which I am bummed about because I really want to take it to the beach. Good luck in your shopping endeavors!

I love our Radio Flyer wagon with the two seats that calapse down. I keep it in the back of my PT Cruiser (very small) all summer and it's great for holding groceries and even bringing them in. We use it for plants and everything and it's great for the kids at parades and such. I found I can keep both kids strapped in or if one gets tired we flip down the seats and they can lie down. Also, you can use the inside as a cooler, it even drains! Highly recomend!!!

I have the green step 2 wagon. It is rather large. I have to take my third row out of my 4Runner in order for it to fit. Thankfully the seats come out easily. The handle on the wagons usually flip under themselves so that they can fit. If you load it up in the car you may need two people to get it out otherwise if empty it is easy to get in and out with handle flipped under it. With the safari I'm sure you have to take the canopy off and on for transport. Have fun shopping. Toys R Us may have an associate walk out with the demo item so you can check if it will fit : )

It's a personal choice. I've had and used both the Radio Flyer and Little Tykes. I don't know about the Step 2 Wagon. Little Tykes was my favorite- sturdy, well constructed, affordable, etc. L.

I have the green step 2 one (not sure on the exact model). The major feature that I love and have to have is seat belts. I had a neighbor who had a different wagon and her 10 month old boy tipped right out if it and banged his face on the pavement. She called me frantically to come over and watch her other son while she cleaned up her little guy. Not to scare you, but the buckle gives a bit of extra security. I have a Subaru forester but have not tried to put it in the back. We use it in the neighborhood mostly. (I'm a teacher on leave too...don't you just love not having to split yourself in two) Good luck.
