I am looking for the best playgrounds in the Toledo area. My kids and I are trying to complete our list of free things to do over the summer. 'Visiting playgrounds we've never seen' is one item. Can anyone give some suggestions so I can start compiling my list. Thank you in advance:)

What can I do next?

I live in Oregon and we love Pearson Metropark. Not only do they have the playground that has TONS of equipment, but they also have a huge sledding hill that the kids like to roll down right across from the playground area. They also have paddle boats in the pond that are only like $10 for the hour.

I've also discovered the South Shore area in Oregon right across from the lake. They have an awesome playground that is hardly ever crowded, and parking is close. They also have a picnic pavillion (covered) so you could pack a lunch when you go. PM me if you want directions.

Wildwood metro park has a nice & big playground. Also, many of the schools in our area (Washington Local) has nice playgrounds and they are always open. Some even have newer playground equipment.

My son also loved going to Strawberry Acres as a kid. it is on Mccord near Angola. They have a nice park and a walking path around it.

And there is also Trilby Park. It is on McGregor off of Secor (between Alexis & Laskey). They also have a nice walking path around the park and a that park is divided into a few sections. THey also have softball & baseball games going on so you can watch those too while you are there.

I love Sidecut Metropark. There are 2 sides to it. On one side is a great playground & you can walk by the river, see deer, etc. The other side you can walk around and enjoy nature and some great streams. Bring bread for the geese!

Have fun,
S.
