What is the best place to stay in Cancun? We are looking for a kid-friendly resort, on the beach, with a balcony... someplace NICE!! Also, we don't want to be far from restaurants... any advice of other things to do while there are appreciated. Thanks!

We just stayed at Sun Palace over Christmas. It is an adults only resort but there are several other resorts in the Palace chain that are kid friendly. We LOVED our resort and were impressed with the others we were able to visit (you are able to visit any of them in the chain). It was all inclusive so you would be very close to restaurants and the food was yummy. We went to Coba with this company and really enjoyed the day. http://www.alltournative.com/tours-products/maya-encounter

Have fun!!!

Club Paradise is the BEST place for kids of all ages. It's an all-inclusive hotel. My kids were about 6 and 8 when we took them and had the time of their lives! We've been to Cancun several times and this is, by far, our favorite.

We travel a lot and are always sure to check Trip Advisor before staying anywhere. I highly recommend researching this website. I depend on the reviews because there's nothing better than hearing it from those who have stayed there and can share their experiences, opinions and tips.

personally, i'm much more a fan of playa del carmen than cancun itself. just slower pace of life, still close to ruins, still resorts and hotels to choose from. it was the best home base for us.
