Best Place to Purchase iPhone

I think I am going to bite the bullet and finally purchase the iPhone. Is there a better or worse place to purchase? I can get them at the Apple Store or my phone carrier, but wondered if there was an advantage to one or the other, or possibly a less expensive 3rd choice? Would love your insights. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I bought my newest one at radio shack-I had an old iphone they let me trade in so I saved 100 on my phone. They are also way less crowded than the apple store!

First you have to buy the phone.
Then you need to have a monthly plan.
Then you have to pay $30 extra a month to have Internet for the phone.
------------------------------------------------
For my husband and I to have iPhones and enjoy everything about them it cost us a little over $200.00 a month.

So make sure that when you go into the phone store you ask them about all the charges that will be on your bill every month. You will also have to sign up for a two year contract.

We loved our phones but we hated the high bill, so after two years with our iPhones we had to down grade to simple phones.

Enjoy your new phone.

I have an iPhone and I love it..but if I were you I'd wait until the new ones (iPhone 5) come out toward the end of the summer/early fall. If you're looking for a cheaper option, you can buy a refurbished one or an older model.

They are the same price no matter where you get them. My husband just bought one last weekend at Best Buy, but we wish we would have bought it at the Verizon Store. We ended up going to the Verizon store anyway the next day because our VZ Navigator option disappeared and we didn't understand what happened! The gentleman at the Verizon store was very helpful and even showed us some tips the Best Buy lady didn't tell us.

Just know that you'll need a phone protector as well (they run about $20-30) and if you want a car charger they are expensive too!

You'll love it though. My husband hasn't put it down since he got it!

We have had I{hones snce they came out and love them. We bought all of ours at the real ATT store (not authorized dealer).

They have all the records, our accounts, etc and it is easier to work with 1 location and 1 sales rep that we know.

You won't find a cheap IPhone unless you buy one from Craigslist, EBay, etc that might be refurbished, stolen, etc. I'd steer clear of trying to save $$ that way.

My daughter is on my plan, I have the newest version 4, she has 3gs. You do have a data plan, we have unlimited texting, etc, we have low minutes because we are texters, and we pay around $200/month.

Hubby's plan with higher minutes, unlimited text, etc is around $170/month.

I suggest a good cover for it so it is protected as much as possible, I have 3 covers, 1 was $40 and 1 was $50, car charger $25, and I also suggest the $69.99 2 yr warranty. We have used ours with daughter 2 times. Instead of paying $600 to replace a phone, you are just out $200.

I just got my phone in early May and my bill was around $500 when all was said and done. I had an upgrade available so my phone was discounted.

You'll love it!!

You could try eBay, if you're willing to bid it out.
Apart from that, Apple controls the cost of their equipment (all of it) pretty tightly. So you shouldn't see more than $10-20 different for the overall price no matter where you buy it.

Unless you go with eBay, I'd just buy it from the carrier you intend to activate it with. Then you can at least get it done for you in the store.

I got mine several years ago from AT&T my service provider.

My hubby sold his old one on Ebay but brought his new one from AT&T as well.
