Did any nipple cream work well for you while you were nursing? Any other suggestions for relief?

What can I do next?

I use Lansinoh as well. I started with Medela but it stained my bras. Lansinoh is clear and washes out. Hope that helps!

Hands down, Earth Mama Angel Baby Nipple Butter. Phenomenal! Lanolin is derived from sheep skin oil (yuck) but EMAB Nipple Butter is natural veggie oils. It heals (yes - HEALS) cracked nipples, split lips, chaffed cuts and diaper rash. Awesome stuff!

Soothies!!! They are gel pads that you can buy at CVS or Walgreens. Put them in the fridge, then when you are done nursing, slap them on and they will provide instant relief. After they warm up, I took them off and gently rinsed off then air-dried for a few minutes and then put on lanolin.

Also, not sure how long you've been nursing, but for me, I struggled the first two weeks, then got the hang of it, but it still hurt quite a bit for about 2 months. After that, though, I didn't need any lanolin or Soothies. There would be a weird twinge when the baby latched on, but it didn't hurt anymore.

Hang in there!

After nursing, rub breast milk into your nipples and allow them to air dry before putting your bra back on. When you need something more, use Vitamin E oil, you can buy it in a bottle at Walgreens or any drug store. Doesn't bother the baby at all and it works like a charm.

Again, Lansinoh lanolin highly recommended. Soothes and relieves AND washes out.

I also used Lansinoh and it worked great for me

I really like Motherlove because it isn't sticky like lanolin.

In addition to the creams, I had to get this gel insert to go inside my bra while I was really hurting. They were cool and felt so good. They kept everything very moist instead of getting dried out. I'm sure it was a Medela product, but you might ask your OB or the breast feeding department at the hospital where you had the baby.

Lanolin!! That was the most moisturizing for me!...i hope it works!

Motherlove worked SO well for me. It was way better than Lansinoh or others containing lanolin. Plus, it's all natural, so you can put it on right before nursing and it doesn't harm the baby.

I used Lansinoh Pure time I couldn't find the Lansinoh brand and I just got a different brand of PURE lanolin, and it worked just the same. IMO, lanolin is a breastfeeding lifesaver :)
