Best Light/compact Versatile Jogging Stroller?

I'm looking for the perfect stroller. I want something that can handle a jog over varying terrain and a long day at the zoo. I also do not want something that is HUGE, but rather would prefer a light/compact stroller. I'm looking for the best of both worlds and a good balance between capabilities and smaller size. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

The Mountain Buggy!
We love, love, love this stroller. My husband and I have been using our Mountain Buggy daily for three years. It is very comfortable (our daughter is happy in it for long walks/jogs). It is small enough to maneuver through airport security and light enough that I can pack it up myself. Check it out, you will be happy you did. It was without a doubt the best piece of babygear we purchased.

I am looking for that exact kind of jogging stroller, too. If you get any good tips, I'd love to know.

I have the Dreamer Design Manhattan. It has a swivel wheel that you can lock for jogging. The only thing is that it sits back pretty far so my husband belted it to make it sit up straighter. I've loved this stroller but I don't think it's as portable as you're looking for. They also have a "lite" version which might work for you. I keep mine in the garage for neighborhood strolls to the store, etc. since we're in a walkable neighborhood but I use a Maclaren umbrella stroller for the car/zoo trips.

It looks like they've come out with some new models. Here is the website:

If you insist on a jogging stroller I would look at a BOB. But I find that jogging strollers just aren't that portable.

I got a buggaboo. I haven't really tried to go jogging with it, but I do go on long walks through the woods, on the beach, in the park.... It really goes everywhere. And it folds up nicely. Or if you have a car seat adaptor you can just take the base and plug the car seat right onto the wheels.

Lots of options

I love my BOB stroller. I got the stroller strides model so it comes with the cup holder and exercise bands (and some instructions on basic exercises). It is small enough to maneuver around clothing racks so it can go into the department stores easily. It doesn't fold down too compact but for the turning capabilies and shortness of it while in use it's ok with me. You can also purchase an infant bar so you can place a car seat (specific ones) on it up until your baby is big enough to ride in the seat. Costco carried the BOB last spring. I don't know if it's on their website(?)
