Our family recently purchased an ipad. We will be taking a vacation with our young family, (6 and 4 years) coming up next month. We have a long airplane flight to prepare for. Just wondering which ipad games your kids love. Which apps are worth the money, and are fun and educational? Thanks so much for your suggestions!

I just raved about this on my personal facebook page and always see this question on here - Agnitus - it's a free app loaded with tons of educational games. My 3 1/2 year hasn't put it down and chooses it over her pixar movies. AND IT'S FREE! - you can also get access to reporting to see where your child is doing well (numbers?) and where they struggle (letters?) - this feature is an in-app purchase but well worth it if you're interested... but it's not required if you just want your kids to play. Oh - multi-kids (multiple profiles) can use it so you can track their progress separately too.
Search - Agnitus - perfect for 2-5 year olds. ((they are coming out with more games supporting kids up to the 3rd grade next year so keep your eye out))

My kids (same age) just discovered Pocket Frogs last night and are having a blast (once you figure it out, it is simple). They do also love Angry Birds. They enjoy Tic Tac Toe and Monkey Preschool Lunchbox. I hear First Words is a good one too, but haven't tried it. As an aside, I'm hearing great things about Chore Pad, to help kids track their chores and rewards. Have fun!

I have a 4 year old and almost 2 y old and they love Lingu Pingu (available in many languages), teach me toddler, teach me knidergatern, 123 writing, Elmo loves abcs, pizza 1(for fractions). Enchanted learning.com has a fun geography quiz you can download from their site, and there are lots of great state games and info apps that could be really useful for traveling. Have fun your trip!

My 4 yr old son loves the Disney digital books. They aren't too expensive. I also got the Thomas Misty Island Rescue game. Both of those games have puzzles and read books to them. I also have the free versions of ABC Phonics and ABC Writing and they are ok, but you need to buy the app to get the full benefit. I have some other kids games, but my son doesn't play them.

These aren't kid games, but my son loves Angry Birds and Pocket Frogs. I've already beat all of the levels on Angry Birds, so he doesn't get frustrated if he doesn't win the level. He just thinks he does since he can move on. Pocket Frogs is such a mindless game, but he loves taking the frogs to the pond so they can jump on the lily pads and eat the dragonflies. You can always download a couple of movies, get a headphone splitter, and let them watch that.

I hope you get some good responses and have a great vacation!
