Hi N.,

Relacore kind of works. My husband took it for a month and we saw a change in his waist line but the weight did come back after he stopped taking the relacore. I think maybe if you use it with eating a healthy diet and exercise it may work better. Good Luck, V.

congrats on you little one. If you are breastfeeding the fat stays around a little longer, until the breast food is not the main source of nutrients for you baby. I had a lot of luck with yoga and pilates. A favorite dvd of mine was Body target abs by gaiam. Getting to the gym is tough, but during naptimes a dvd is pretty easy. Building up your "core" muscles and healthy eating is really the only way to go. Cutting out unneccesary fats will also help. And I swear by drinking loads of water. I really feal less bloated when I drink enough water.

Good Luck with the hard work ahead,

M.

You might think about taking the Mommy Tummy Class at the H-F Park District. When you are pregnant your stomach muscles actually split causing a diastisis. The rectus abdominus does not come back together without specific exercises to bring it back together - postpartum specific abs (VERY different than anything else - instrinsically targets 4 ab muscles with each exercise, rather than crunches which are absolutely TERRIBLE for postpartum women). AFter my 2nd baby, My waist where all the "jelly" was I went from a 32 inch waist to a 25 in waist by the time he was 5 months old. They are GREAT exercises - based on the Tupler Technique. I believe its under biz reviews as well. GOOD LUCK!!!
PS The post baby stomach is very different than what relacore targets, which is stress induced belly-fat.

Just my personal experience, but Relacore did nothing for me. For me, it came down to old fashioned crunches, butt lifts and push ups. Good luck!

I am a busy mom and over the summer was taking Trim spa with nightly or lunchbreak walks and occasional situps and lost 15 lbs. Over the winter I decided to try something else Relacore, its a waste of money, it didn't do nothing for me, I gained weight but that might me because I didn't follow thru with the excercise.

I have had two babies in the past 5 years. Belly fat has always lingered until I tried the Abs Diet this January. What a miracle. I got back my slim belly and love it.

I had heard great reviews about the Abs Diet. Although I didn't get the Abs Diet book I picked up a companion to the Abs Diet.

Title: the Abs Diet Eat Right Every Time Guide.
Author: David Zinczenko

This is not a 'fad' diet per se. It includes dairy, oatmeal, spinach, nuts, beans, etc. healthy foods to slim the belly.

I LOVE having my slim belly back.

Best of luck.

No pill can safely replace a healthy diet and exercise, period!
The diet pill industry is huge business, and there is absolutely no evidence (scientific or anecdotal) that any of it works. Fad diets are just that too...a fad.
I have a 6 month old and I know how hard it is to find the time to eat well and exercise. I gained alot of weight while pregnant. I initially lost 10 pounds due to morning sickness, but at the end I was 40 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight...so all told I actually managed to gain about 50 pounds. I'm still a good 20 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight.. I have a high needs daughter that does not give me much time to myself during the day. I have not found time to do any good cardio on a regular basis...hoping when the weather gets nicer I can at least get out and move around more :) Also thinking about finding a good "Mommy and Me" exercise class like yoga or something.
Anyhow...I was a health/fitness nut before baby and I know that the only way to get back in shape is to do cardio to burn the fat and strengthening exercises to tone mucsle. And eat well...lots of veggies, nuts, good fruits (berries, avacado, etc), whole grains, lean protein, etc. This is my first baby, but everyone tells me that the belly is the hardest part. Breastfeeding burns lots of calories, but your body holds on to some fat (it is a built in "survival" thing for baby that you can not do much about).
Eat well, eat balanced, cut out simple carbs and processed foods...drink lots of water (only 100% juices, and NO POP) and try to get moving.
Please do not put your hard earned bucks into the hands of companies that tout a "quick fix" pill or fad diet. There are no quick fixes.

I think doing crunches or other ab exercises is the only way to do it.

I agree with Cristina below. There is no other way to lose weight and get into great shape unless you eat right AND excercise. Just like anything else, if you want something you're going to have to work. YUCK!! I haven't been good lately, but I know that when I try hard...eat well...get up at that insane 5:15am hour to excercise...I look and feel GREAT!!

As far as a diet, I just follow the food pyramid (make sure it's a recent chart and not from years and years ago) and eat pretty much 5 small meals throughout the day. You'd be surprised how full you feel! With kids, I have no choice but to workout early am. I work all day and evenings are full of sports, dance, and social activities for the kids. Sounds like a crazy day but when you're healthy, it's nothing!

Good luck!

I've often thought about taking Relecore, too, and I had a baby 3 years ago. My belly is still big!! Truthfully, I think it is a marketing genious who put this together. It is all about diet and exercise at this point. Give yourself a break. You just had a baby six months ago, and your body is still adjusting. If you are truly concerned that your belly is still big, check with your ob to make sure your uterus has completly shrunk back to it's original size. I would drink lots of water and watch your diet and excercise. You will get there.

Good luck.

The best thing you can do, is to do exercises to tighten your abdiminal muscles. They have been incredibly stretched out and need help! Crunches have worked wonders for me, and bonus, the extra muscle will burn mor fat than the fat will! Any kind of toning/muscle building will give your body and incredible metabolism boost, coupled with a healthy diet it's a weight loss wonder.
