HI ladies
as sad as this may sound I have only bought 2 sets of bedsheets in my life. Hubby and I were given 2 sets of sheets when we got married and they are still ok (IMO) but for Christmas this year, I wanted to get a new set and asked my mom about it and I think I either got bad advice OR I didnt understand her.
I bought 300 count (or 330 I dont know) anyway, I am already on my 2nd set since Christmas AND the 2nd set is already balled up.
Can anyone recommend sheet sets or brand? what thread count? HOw are the ones from Sams club? I saw them but never really looked at them.
Going to Pennys today so if anyone has any recomendations, I will gladly take it. Im ok with spending xtra cash if they are going to last me more than 2 months

What can I do next?

300 thread count is bad. You need 600 and above for a comfy sheet. Egyptian cotton lasts forEVER too so it's worth the extra money you might spend.

Check the fiber content. All cotton should not pill. I've had good luck with the higher end sheets at Target.

The higher thread count, the better they feel. And I love percale sheets--no muslin. Egyptian cotton is a dream to sleep in. Good luck!

Sheets is something you should go ahead and splurge on. You are in your bed a lot and you should be as comfy as possible. The higher the thread count, the better the feel. I personally never buy below 600 thread count. Yes, it's expensive, but it's so worth it!! And really, they last for years. I also open up the sheets as much as the package will allow and feel them to see how soft they are.

Normally 400 thread count is good and should last for awhile. I would say that the thread count is related to the quality of the sheets. The higher the count the better the sheets. I would check out Sams club they usually have a good deal on sheets and normally good quality.

I love a high thread count. 300/330 is good but I do like the count to be higher because (1) they are so much softer, (2) they tend to last longer. I don't know anything about Sam's Club sheets as I have never shopped there but I have a pair of sheets from JCPenney's I got as a wedding gift, nearly 19 years ago. The fitted sheet finally wore out but the pillow cases and top sheet are still in great condition so I just pair them with a new plain white fitted sheet. I honestly have way too many sheets. I got into this "thing" in my early marriage with buying sheets just to have several to change from. Not sure what I was thinking back then but I am not buying anymore until I absolutely have to. I say 2 sets of sheets is more than enough. Look on overstock.com. My sister found some beautiful sheets, very high thread count at an affordable price. Also something to consider, the higher the count, the heavier the sheets so beware, that a heavier sheet will feel warmer on you.

When we got married we used a gift card at JCP for sheets. Queen size that cost over $50. Don't really remember the details or the brand, but we are still using that set. I agree with the other suggestions, higher the thread count the better, expect to get what you pay for. I also use flannel year round because I think that they are more comfortable. I can also buy less expensive, because if I buy poplin, they have to at least 600 TC Egyptian Cotton. Come to think of it, my sister got some great sheets at Macy's that I think were Ralph Lauren, and they were at least as soft as my flannel.

Typically the higher the thread count the better the sheet. I would look for 400 or higher. I've also found that egytian cotton is very soft.

I bought some pillow cases at Odd Job Lot very cheap about 4 months ago and they are holding up great.

My favorite sheets came from JCP. I love them. So soft and yummy! Buy the highest thread count that you can afford. Egyptian cotton all the way. I have some bamboo sheets, and can't stand the way they feel. They were expensive, and I regret buying them. They are ultra soft, but not at all crisp like cotton, if that makes sense.
