Bedrail for Toddler Bed

My daughter's crib converts to a toddler daybed. I am having a terrible time finding a bedrail for when I convert into a toddler bed. This was no problem for my older son (now 13), but now they make the rails so they anchor on the other side of the bed. They specifically say "Not for use with a Toddler Bed." Anybody know of any?

What can I do next?

I know your problem. We just converted our daughters bed and it is the same way. We ended up getting one of those mesh things I believe you are talking about that say not for use with a Toddler bed. I'm pretty sure the reason for that is they are afraid the mattress is not strong enough. But there is an anchor thing on it that goes under the bed with the rails. And it didn't work at first and she fell out of the bed twice while she was sleeping. Luckily with the bed being so much lower to the ground it wasn't a big deal. We ended up tying the anchor and looping the cord all around the rails on the bed. Trust me that thing dosent' budge anymore. I made sure of it. Plus, you can push it to the front of the bed and still have a place for them to crawl in and out of bed easily. We got ours at Babies R Us. Good Luck.

We haven't put our bed rail on a toddler bed but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I think it's from Safety First - we bought it a couple years ago. It's a mesh rail. There are 2 post-like thingys that slip under the mattress and the pressure from the mattress keeps it in place. My son was on a twin bed and it never budged. The bedrail is short enough (actually it's adjustable in length) that it would fit a toddler bed.

Safety First makes one that fits according to mattress size - it looks like the picture is with a toddler bed... it's the only one i saw online. walmart & target both have it on their sites...
good luck!

We have a Safety 1st model that just slides under the matress to hold in place. It was purchased at Lowe's.

Look for the kind that anchors underneath the mattress. We had one that actually went on both sides of the mattress and used it on a toddler day bed. It was u-shaped and the mattress held it in place. Good luck!

**EDIT** So I should learn to read the other responses first, sounds like i'm in agreeance with other people!

I know that the Wal Mart here carries specific toddler bed rails. I think that you can get them online as well. Hope that helps

I just went ahead and bought a toddler bed and sold the 3 in 1 crib. It was a big pain in the butt and to high off of the floor for my comfort. My son loves his toddler bed!! I did buy a bed rail that you are more than welcomed to have for $5 if it's what you need. I don't have a box and I didn't see anything on there that said not to use with toddler bed. The rail part folds down so during the day you don't have to worry about it. Send me your e-mail address at ____@____.com if you are interested and I will e-mail you the picture of it, for some reason, I can not copy/paste on here. I hope this helps.
