Bark Busters

Has anyone used bark busters? Any success? I hate to pay all of that money if it does not really work. I have two dogs a Jack Russel and a Boston Terrier and they are both barkers. We are having our first child in Nov. so I would like to get them to stop barking so much. They are like my kids and I love them but they are driving me crazy!

What can I do next?

I'd recommend, from personal experience for myself as well as several of my clients, Aaron Stewart with The Educated Dog. His website is: www.theeducateddog.com and he's amazing! CHEAPER than BB and it was the best 3 hours of our life - our dogs are much happier and understand what we expect from them. We had a barker too, our spaniel, and I had just had our son....Raif is a different dog these days and obeys voice commands the moment he thinks he may want to bark (doorbells!) :)

I used BarkBusters for an aggressive rescued Chihuahua. It probably depends a lot on who your local franchisee is. Ours was Julie Wheeler. I do recommend her, but you have to remember that NO dog trainer is going to be a cure all without a lot of work on your part. You have to follow their directions and really follow through all the time without exception. If you follow through as they suggest then yes, I believe it will work. I noticed you are in Flower Mound, I know a lot of the trainers around there through my kennel business. Most are good, but a couple are not so great. If you decide on a private trainer feel free to email me and I'll let you know if I have heard anything about them.

I am a veterinarian in Mansfield and highly recommend bark busters. Our clinic has a very close relationship with Michael and Cody that work in South Arlington/Mansfield area and they are great. They come to veterinary visits occasionally with aggressive animals and have done a great job.

I've bought the Bark Busters, shock and water collars but nothing has stopped my dogs from barking better than a spray bottle of water.
Buy a few for around the house, when the dogs bark give a no bark command and spray the water in their face. It doesn't hurt and after a while they stop when you pick up the water bottle. I bought a few that shot 10 feet.
Good luck and congrats on the baby.

I have personally used Bark Busters. My trainers were Linda and Randy Martin. They are amazing. Randy spent 3 hours with us on the first visit and I had two totally different dogs when he left. I work for a vet and I have met many trainers, Randy is still the ONLY one I recommend. It is well worth the money and you will be so happy you did it.

I recently had a SIMILAR PROBLEM!

I found a $20 solution that worked super FAST!!

There were a few products that I tried but none seemed to work until I bought The Barking Dog CD. It really works and it is so easy to use. To say that I was impressed is an understatement.

You can check it out for yourself at http://www.antibarkingdevice.com if you want to try it.

Not sure what "Bark Busters" is, but I swear by our shock collar. If you can't stand the thought of giving your dog a static shock, I do have a friend who has had good luck with a citronella collar, that sprays when the dog barks...right in front of their face.

Hi S.,

My husband's good friend has a Bark Busters franchise and they have a very high success rate. I think they're a great choice because they focus on working with the owners so they can work with the dog. I highly recommend them to all who have pet issuues. Good luck!
