Banquet Location for Christening in Southwest Suburbs

Anyone have any banquet hall suggestions in the SW burbs (Orland, Tinley, Mokena, Frnakfort, Joliet, Homer Glen) that you would recommend for a Christening? I don't want to spend a fortune so I'm thinking something like an upscale pizzeria type place - that does other catering besides pizza. Obviously they need to have good food too! Seating to accommodate at least 60-70. Thanks for your help.

HI--I went to a wedding a year or so ago and it was at the Orland Chateau, on LaGrange and 143rd. The food was good, don't know about the pricing. Also, try Palonia, they used to be at 159th and Oak Park, but I think that they moved out to Frankfort--food was great and it was really inexpensive. I don't know if you want to travel to Justice, but there is an excellent Polish bar/banquet hall that is very reasonable too. It is Szortka's HideAway, about Roberts Road and 82nd. Not sure of the spelling of the name, if you're interested and can't find it, email me and I'll get the exact spelling for you. Good luck!

What about Giordanno's or Gino's East? Here's a thought..what about having it at your park district? In Tinley, I know you can rent one of the rooms at the Bettenhausen building reasonably and then you could just order food. Otherwise, I'd say that almost any of the "pizza joints" would be good, and they almost all offer some sort of italian menu. Maybe check out Casto's in Tinley or Gatto's, also in Tinley. My cousin had her wedding shower at Casto's and it was really nice!
Good Luck!

We had our daughters 1st b-day at Silver Lakes Country Club in Orland and the prices was VERY VERY comprable to all the pizza places. I called qite a few of the ones listed and they were almost the same price. We had 150 people and it may have been a bit more (not much) but you get so much more. I would call them and find out. Or you could try devonoes in orland on 143rd and wolf. they have really good food.
