Banner Desert is the best hospital in the valley! You will be in excellent hands. And just FYI, Chandler Regional is the one that you should only go to if you absolutely have to.

I agree with Banner Desert- They are awesome, I was born there and both of my kids were born there as well!! I do not care for Banner Baywood and would avoid going there for emergencies. Banner Mesa is turning into Banner Gateway which is now located at Higley and Southern.

I had my first baby at banner desert. It was ok. My second I had at Banner Mesa (which will be closing soon) and really liked it. The rooms were nice and the nurses were just what I needed. I'm not sure if that's the hospital you're talking about but I really liked Banner Mesa over Banner Desert.

There are several banner hospitals in Mesa. My husband works for Banner Baywood. I had my baby there and had no problems. The Dr.s and nurses working there are great and I got to stay in my own room with no roomates the whole time. I had to go into triage several times and the nurses remembered me and were very kind. However, I agree that Banner Desert is great. It has a good reputation and an excelent NICU if you would need it. I'm not sure when Banner Mesa is closing but it's pretty old. I don't know much else about it.

Which banner are you going to. there is Banner Desert that is excellent. Banner Mesa that is ok and Banner Baywood that is also ok.I have had both my girls at Banner Desert. They are a level 3 for OB so if ( god forbid) anything were to happen you and your baby have all the care needed without going into phx or scottsdale. If I had to choose between the three I always go tho Desert also they have a peds er just for kids.

I'm not exactly sure which banner hospital you are talking about but Banner Desert, on Dobson and the 60 freeway, is a wonderful hospital and they've got one of the best children's depts around. When my daughter was in the hospital for MRSA everyone was wonderful! I also talked to some other parents who were sent there by other hospitals because of how good the children's department is. oh, I delivered both of my girls there too, but not c-section, the labor and delivery were great too!

I had my twins at Banner Baywood, because I went into sudden labor at 28 weeks and didn't have time to go anywhere else. I don't really remember much of it though, because as I said, it was a sudden thing. We got to the hospital at 4:37am and my babies were born at 5:00am, so I can at least say that they were prepared for an emergency. My twins were then helicoptered to Banner Desert to the NICU. They were in the NICU for three months, and had such a wonderful experience. All of the nurses were incredible and they didn't act as if they were just doing their job, I could tell that they really cared about my kids. In fact, we had such a great experience there that I decided to go back to school to become a NICU nurse. I can't, however, tell you about the nurses in the full term nursery, because we were never there, but I have definitely heard good things. Good luck!

Banner Desert is GREAT!! I had both of my kids there and the youngest being born @ 30 weeks!! Lord willing, you will not need the services of the NICU, but they are one of the best in the state!!
