I am the chair of our company Christmas party... I am in some serious need of ideas for bands.. do any of you have any ideas? They will need to be able to play a very wide variety of music and preferably local.. so I can hear them before booking :)Thank you in advance for any suggestions :)

What can I do next?

At a party we go to every year they alway have Cuvee and they are great. Their website is www.cuveemusic.com.

For my sisters wedding this fall, she has booked Center Stage Band. Their website is www.centerstageband.com.

If you visit the website, www.encoreproductions.com, they are a booking agent that has tons of bands that you can choose from. One of the lead singers with Center Stage is the one who runs Encore Productions.

Hi Candace,

I am the lead singer for a band called "The Usual Crowd" and we would love to have you come out and hear us play! We play a wide variety of music (classic rock, blues, country) and are currently appearing monthly at The Pepper Mill Lounge in Fort Worth, as well as several other venues.

We are booking gigs for July through December right now, and will be appearing at Longhorn Harley Davidson in Grand Prairie on Saturday June 7th, for the First Annual Pink Ribbon Ride to raise money for the Avon Breast Cancer Walk fund. This event is free and would be a great time for you to come out and listen to us.

Here's our website: www.theusualcrowd.com

If you'd like to speak to me personally, please send me a private message and I'll send you my phone #. Thanks and have a blessed day!

Please check out www.breckenridgeband.com. They have been in the DFW area for many years. They are accomplished entertainers and highly recommended in the corporate entertainment.

Personally, I like A Hard Night's Day, but they're a Beatles cover band, so I wouldn't say that they have a wide variety of music! They are really good, though.

You could also check out Emerald City. They played a lot of parties at Southwest Airlines when I used to work there. They always got people out on the dancefloor!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE The Pictures. They are based in Austin but play up here locally. Actually, I think half the band lived up here. Their website is www.thepictures.com

Jazz Monsters out of Fort Worth are awesome.
My daughters High School Band is very talented, might consider booking an ensemble of top senior high musicians too!
Good Luck.

I have your answer! There is a local band called "The Wonders" that is terrific. I have heard them at 4th of July celebrations and local venues for the past 15 years, and I booked them for a conference crowd of 450. It was a great success. They will split and play as a smaller band for a discount, but I recommend booking the full band. Email me for contact info since I don't have it on me right now.

See other bands at dfwbands.com. Everyone has a sample on the internet of their stuff.

I HIGHLY recommend the Tejas Brothers - they are incredibly versatile (even though the name sounds Hispanic - they do a lot of stuff in English as well). They have just released their first CD which you can find at CDbaby.com, they have a grammy award winning drummer, are currently performing in Stephenville at the Larry Joe Taylor music festival and will be performing at Bass Hall this weekend...all this talent and still quite affordable. Feel free to pm me for direct contact info as I am out of town and don't have it on me right this second but you should definitely at least check them out!
