Hello-

I have a nine month old and I pay my sitters $10 an hour. I have heard it is between $10-$15. Good Luck!

Hi D., I pay 10 bucks an hour for our sitter. She's still in high school, but one of those exceptional kids who I am 100% comfortable with. Our part time nanny gets 13 an hour when she's here.

We pay our occasional babysitter $10.00/hour. She's a 20 year old who drives to our house when we need her. I know some other moms who pay 12-13 year olds $5-$6/hour.

Hi - I pay $10 an hour. I have one babysitter who is in grad school who requests $11/hr, but I don't think she is any better than the other sitters.

D.,
We pay 11 dollars an hour for our five month old son. I know that my sister in law in Glenview pays 13/hour for three boys.

Good Luck!

The going rate in our area is $10/hour. Quite the increase from the $1/hour I got for babysitting!

This seems to be the rate no matter the number of kids or the age of the sitter. I pay the 16 year old across the street the same thing as a college student.

D.,
I'm looking for a daycare provider in the Brookfield area because I live in Brookfield. I would also like to know the rates also, I will be having a baby in July and will need a babysitter in September. I called the daycare centers and they are outragous per week $265.00 average.

Thank you for your help.

Hi. If you mean babysitting for a few hours - a teenager, I heard the going rate is anywhere from $5, 6 or $7 an hour. You might also ask them what they would like to get. If you mean daycare, I've heard of $25 per day, $30 per day, and $40 per day, depending on the day care. Hope this helps.

We pay $8-10/hr for off-duty teachers from our children's preschool to babysit for us. They charged the same for one child as they are for watching two now.

When we have teenagers we pay between 5-6 an hour. That was for 2 kids. Now we have an infant too.. I don't think I would not leave her with a teenager yet though.

We have had some college students and we pay them $9-$10 hour.
