Baby Wrap/Sling

I loved, loved, loved my moby. I was discouraged at first when I saw it. it is a very long peice of cotton that is shaped like a conoe and you fold it in half long ways and wrap it around you. holds 0-35 lbs They go for about 40 new but get it used on ebay. I sold mine there for 15. after 2 or 3 trys I could put it on myself in about 30 seconds. I loved it and it supports new borns head.
My best friend swears by her ergo carrier, again goes for 90 new, get it used.

My advice is to visit a store with knowledgeable employees because just because a wrap/sling works best for one person doesn't mean it will work well for you. For instance, I HATE my Ergo, but tons of people love it. It hurts my back and is complicated. I like the Baby K'tan for infants. There was another one there that I liked, the Hot Sling, but my size fell between the medium and large and I couldn't get a good fit. try some on and see if they fit right and are comfortable and if they aren't too complicated for you. Some of the more comfortable slings I liked were just too complicated for my sleep deprived mind.

I very strongly suggest a ring sling form sleeping baby productions. I love mine and it can be used for years.

This is going to sound awful, maybe not, who knows, I loved the soft backpack one because it could go on the front or back. That way I could do yard work, run yelling down the side of soccer fields, pretty much still parent my older kids and maintain my house all the while with my son with me. Also came in handy with little sister because on my back I could scoop up that bugger without her potentially getting struck by a wayward limb.

Oh, there is nine years between my middle two and then two years between the last two so I was chasing a toddler with Genna on my back. :)
