I am throwing a friend a baby shower this saturday for a very small group of people (6 or so). Can anyone suggest a few cute baby shower games? She really isn't a cutsey baby person so please no cheesy games! Thanks!

What can I do next?

A couple ideas...

We had picked out the name Brady for my son which worked perfectly for a BINGO game, only they used his name for the header instead. They used pictures of baby items from my registries for the squares.

Another idea is to find songs that have the word baby in the title and have the guests gues steh name of the song after you play a piece of the song for them.

My sister did a game at my shower, and we did it for a friend recently. You match the baby animals to the mother, for example, cat-kitten. To make it more interesting, my sister found several less known baby/mom matches. I could email the full list that she came up with to you if you would like. Have fun at the shower!

Hi,
I'm a total sweet tooth, so this game, which was played at my shower, appealed to me! It's called the Candy Name Game, and you give everyone a list of clues that pertain to specific candy bars that also relate to childbirth/parenting/etc. Some examples: Clue: you cover you baby's face in these. Answer: Hershey's kisses. Clue: Cool mom. Answer: Peppermint Patty. Clue: Hospital bills and college fund. Answer: 100 Grand. All of the answers are candy bars. You give the ladies the clues sheets, and then read off the answers after they have some time to complete it. Whoever gets the most right, wins. And, it's more challenging than you think. It's cute and fun, and the prize is a cute basket filled with many of the candy bars named in the game. All of the clues are cute and lots of fun. I can send the entire game to you if you like this. I think there 23-24 clues in total. I've now used it at a few of my girlfriends' showers, and it's always been a hit. Take care.

Good Morning Abbey!!
My sisters and I just did a baby shower for the same type of person and my sisters did it for me.
We put together a wicker basket full of baby goodies like onsies, first aid kit, nuks, blanket, rattle, toys, bibs etc. and you make up a sheet for your guests to write down what is in the basket and walk around with it for a few minutes so they can peak as to what is in it. Then they get a few minutes to write down as many things they can remember what was in the basket. Who ever gets the most right gets a small prize. The mom to be gets to keep the basket as her gift from you.
Good Luck!! S.

One fun one is to match celebritites' "professional" names with their birth names. You can do a google search for celebrity birth names or e-mail me for a list.
Another one is to make a crossword puzzle (you can find websites that will create one for you for free) using information about the mom and her baby. We've done that one twice and everyone enjoys learning something new about their friend.
