Hello, My name starts with a J and my man's an M. Do you have any sudgestions for names that start with J or M? He picked "Janessa" but it has not grown on me. I have "Melanie". Oh yeah, for a girl. If we have a boy it's going to be a Jr.

So What Happened?

Thank you so much for all your beautiful suggestions! We have been debating for months since I posted my question and have finally came to the name of Melanie Jane. Someone said Jane and I loved it, plus its my mother's name too. You all were so helpful and came up with nemes for our future children so we will keep them just in case anothe "oops" comes. Ha ha ha ha.

How about MJ (Emjay)....I had a friend growing up that had the name
"H". Africian and spelled Aitch but he grew up learning to spell it H,his parents immigrated and didnt have english spelling down so it stuck.

Congrats!

I've always liked my name and my brothers came up with it. Way back when it was more popular as a boy's name, nowadays it is the reverse, more popular as a girl's name.

Be careful about nicknames! People will shorten a name whether you like it or not, so you should be happy with how it would be shortened. (I loved the name Madeline but not Maddie, or Jessalyn but not Jessie)

If it's a girl, you could use the name Jomya(pronounced Jo mee u.) That way, you can use both J and M. Or you could use the name Jamie. In my years of teaching, I have had kids with these names.

or you could rhyme with J. and go with Chanelle. (just a thought)

Also, you could use both M & J - for a first and a middle name. That way you both have a part in the name.

Congrats!

Not sure if you're sick of receiving baby names yet, but I thought I'd suggest one I didn't see on the list. :)

I have a cousin named Maclaine. I've always liked it and I've never known anyone else with that name.

Congrats & Best Wishes!

I've always loved Johanna (can be called Jo for short, cute tomboyish name) and the full name is so feminine and pretty. Also, J. and Jaden are both pretty.

M: Madison, MacKenzie (Mac for short), McKenna.

oops, just noticed your name is J.. well, it is a pretty name;)
