Brittney is a very pretty name. Think of a name with a vowel at the end so the first name glides into the second - such as Marla or even M.. The names would sound well in either order.

Commenting about an earlier post - I'm rather a "grammar police" sort of person myself, but most of the mamas who post here do their posting in seconds, not minutes - the seconds that happen between feeding the baby and rescuing the puppy from the toddler.

I think that it is sweet that your husband is involved with the naming of your little one. It obviously means a lot to him. I understand wanting to pick out your own first name though.

Brittany is a beautiful name. We are expecting in a few weeks and we are using my mil and my husband’s grandmother’s name for the middle name. Try using Irene as a middle name. lol We are going with Audrey Irene.
My other daughter is Averi Leona was named after my grandmother.

Sometimes the meaning of the name is more important than how it sounds. I always talk to my daughter Averi about her middle name and how special it is. She is now 7 and openly talks about how she was named after her Papa’s mom.

Good luck!!!!!

I would use britt personally, more modern and still similar. And goes with more names! I'd do britt as a first name and a longer middle name, or a longer first name with britt as the middle. For brittney as a middle name, it's kinda hard..maybe Amelia, Elizabeth, Gianna, Francesca, Harper, Isabella, Layla, Lila/lyla, Peyton, Veronica. But if you use britt, I like Ellison, Emerson, Hadley, Kinley, Olivia, Reagan, Stella, taryn, Victoria. Or consider using Whitney, it rhymes with brittney but gives her her own identity :)

What a beautiful tribute. Middle names aren't used all that much so pick a first name you love and don't stress over it. My son's middle name is an awful family name and he uses his middle initial.

I think it's a great gesture.

Just go with whatever first name you like. A middle name isn't used that often to stress over it :)

I used Gloria, from my grandmother, for my daughter. I knew it might not "flow" the best, but it was important to me and the meaning is what I was concerned about. So we used Jillian Gloria.

I like Sara Brittney
Paige Brittney
Annabelle Brittney

I applaud your husband for wanting to use his sister's name. I used family names for all of my children. :)

Out of all of the choices listed below....I think Makayla Brittney flows the easiest. Elaina would also work.

Best wishes for a safe delivery!
