i'm very much afraid we are going to be those parents you here about that have no name at all for their child because we can't agree on one. how awful. i've gone through a zillion names and we don't seem to agree on very many. or we do and then one of us has second thoughts. luckily we have already promised my grandmother that the middle name is after her, so that much is set. and last night we sort of agreed to three potential first names. please let me know what you think of these names. what is your opinion. meaning means alot to me. sound means alot to both of us. we want it unique but not ridiculous. let me know what you think... the middle name is german. hanna'lora. pronounced hauna'laura.
Ivy Hanna'lora (peace)
Skylar Hanna'lora (of the sky)
Zoya Hanna'lora (life)

What can I do next?

I love Zoya.
I grew up in Russia- it is a well-known name there, classic, given to movie heroines, etc.
I have never met anyone named Zoya in the US, so this name would be very unique, yet easy to remember.
Goes best with the middle name, too.
Good luck!

Ivy Hanna'lora gets my vote!

There's something traditional and strong about it - but it is still very unique.

They all sound and are beautiful names. It is a tough choice. But dont worry, you still have time and the name will come. Sometimes you have to have the baby and see the baby to decide the name. Both of my children have unique names. We were so set on my sons name then all os a sudden i heard this other name and that was it. Since I chose my sons name I allowed my husband to pick our daughters name.I totally did not like what he picked but he loved it and it was only fair since he allowed me to have our sons name. Long story short, they both fit their names perfectly and we would not want them to be anything other than what they are. Ps, I now love my daughters name. Good Luck and be patient, it will come, Trust it!
