I am planning a baby shower and am looking for location suggestions in or near Arlington Heights. There will be approximately 30 people in attendance. Does anyone have a place that they were happy with?

What can I do next?

I've used Charlie's Charhouse in Elk Grove I believe (ask for Louie) and Jameson's Charhouse on Dundee in Arlington Heights. I've had communions & baptisms at these places and the prices were perfect and service was just as good. If I were to pick one over another, I'd have to go with Charlie's. The ambiance is very nice. Good Luck.

If you are trying to save money, and want to do your own brought in food/refreshments, the AH Park District has some great spaces to rent. My cousin had her little girl's last bday party there. It was nice, no house cleaning, and brought in food/pizza/snacks/cupcakes. of course you'd do something diff for a baby shower.

Other wise for fancier, try one of the downtown restaurants, or Palm Court at AH and Palatine road. Jameson's does a nice party room and you can pick the menu I believe. Emmet's in downtown Palatine might also have a nice party room. There is also a place called Mint Julep Bistro also in dt Palatine that has a nice menu and GREAT desserts.

My sisters and my mother hosted a baby shower for me at the Tea Room in Long Grove. It was absolutely lovely!!! I highly recommend checking it out. I also have a GREAT baby shower gift idea for you. I have been getting it for all the expectant mothers I know and for all my friends as birthday gifts. It's called a One Trip Tote by Neeblink, Inc.. (www.onetriptote.com) It is a very unique, strikingly beautiful large tote. It is perfect for a first-time mother or a mother expecting her 2nd, 3rd, 4th... child. The idea is to load everything you need for the day and go out the door in ONE Trip. Great for on the go or at home...a million uses. I filled my gift up with diapers and other baby shower essentials. Everyone Loved Them! Definitely my best find this year! Good luck!

Jameson's on Dundee Road (Rt. 68), right by 53 is really, really good. They are also reasonably priced, the food is good, service fantastic. Plus you can bring in your own cake and they will cut and serve it without charging you more. I had my wedding reception there (50 people) and my baby shower there too.

Rose Garden restaurant on Arlington Heights Rd and Higgins. They have a huge banquet room in the basement with elevator and seperate washroom facilities and a smaller dinin room to the right when you enter the front door. Ask for Alex. She owns the restaurant with her husband Chris and is there from opening in the a.m. till 4:00pm when Chris comes in. She is very accomodating and hosts many showers and birthdays in the upstairs room.

Hi E.,

My friend had a baby shower at Richie's Cafe Clemenza. It was a perfect place and good food. Here is the website: http://cafeclemenza.com/ also... I don't know how far you want to go..but in hawthorn woods off of Gilmer is a place called Oregano's. The food is also very good..and I have a friend who uses the party room for tons of occasions. Good Luck!

I threw a baby shower at L'Eiffel Bistrot in the Arboretum of South Barrington, and it was great! It's perfect for a shower - the food is delicious, the crepes fantastic, (so perfect for a luncheon event) cute decor, they have a private room you could use, and it's reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend checking it out!

I would recommend Charlie's Charhouse in Elk Grove Village. It is just 5 min. south of Woodfield - easy access at Biesterfield exit - located just 2 stoplights south at Rohlwing and Devon. Great food, nice private back room - phone number is ###-###-####
