My daughter's name is Erin Melissa.

I tried to go with something that was not in the popular crowd so it would be less likely to have 3 Erin's in a class. Plus something that sounds nice as a toddler, teen, adult and on.

You got some great suggestions. I was having a hard time coming up with names that sound good. I do like Katie Melissa, Charlotte Melissa, and Erin Melissa though. So, yes, the 2-syllable/not ending in "a" names work best.

Also cute:
Peyton, Ashley, Zoe.
Nothing new here. LOL Melissa is a hard one!

I think (based on the other responses too) a 2-syllable first name, w/ the accent on the first syllable, sounds the best. That said, how many times are people called by their entire name? Choose whatever you like :)

Katherine Melissa (Kate/Katie)
Elizabeth Melissa (Beth or Lizzie)
Peyton Melissa
Karis Melissa

(I would avoid names ending in "a" if you are using Melissa as a middle name, which I am assuming to answer this question.)

Audrey, Aubrey, Gabrielle, Jillian, Josephine/Josie, Kathryn, lacey, Naomi, Peyton, Quinn, taryn. The names that don't work to me are those that also end in an -a. But how it goes with your last name is the most important factor!

SO many. I would do 2 syllables and not end in an 'a' like Melissa does.
