My little girl is getting to be not-so-little anymore! I have used the Baby Bjorn since she was born and she loves it. As long as she's with mom, she's a happy little girl. But she's outgrowing this carrier and I'm looking for the next step in a baby carrier or sling. Any recommendations on something that will be comfy for her and for me? I'm open to any types of carriers or slings. Experience? Recommendations?

What can I do next?

The Platex Hip Hammock works great. I used it with my son all the time and it gives you both hands and is not uncomfortable.

I have a Moby wrap and a mei tai and I LOVE them both. I mostly use the Moby for my newborn (4 weeks) and the mei tai for my older boys (3 and 21 months). I never really cared for the sling when my older 2 were babies but I'm looking for a new one to try it again with the baby.

Check out www.mamatoto.com They have info on all types of slings/carriers. My personal fav was just 5 yards (if your tall or bigger then sz 16 get 6yrds) of cotton knit. You buy it at a fabric store and cut it in half so its about 25-30inch wide. Then you wrap around your waist, criss coss behing your back and your baby can face in or out. There are so many carriers and its just simple cloth you wrap around yourself (very easy to do, the website has pictures!). I loved my slings until my zon was about 8 months old then I just never felt comfortable. Happy baby wearing!
