What are some of your favorite things to do in the Dells? We're going for the third time in a week, but we've never done anything outside of the waterpark. It will be me, my husband, our 2 year old son and my MIL. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

We were just there a couple of weeks ago with our daughter who is 2 (35 months).

I would avoid the ducks...the steep hil and drop into the water can be pretty scary for a child.

Timbavati is great. Lots of animals to see...lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Worth the time and worth the money.

Riverside and Great Northern Railway is AWESOME. We've done it two years in a row. My daughter LOVES it...fun little train ride and a great gift shop for Thomas fans.

WI Deer park is really fun. The Deer can kind of get in your face so if he is at all sensitive you may want to be sure to bring in your stroller so that he has a safe place.

Main street is fun to wander...make sure you check out Rail Dog for lunch (just off of the main street). Great food...awesome fries...the guy who runs it is really a character.

Buffalo Phils. AWESOME food. Eat in the Train Room and a train will deliver your food. Knuckleheads is an indoor amusement center and is attached to Buffalo Phils. If your little guy likes bright games and lights this place would be great.

Have fun! Any other questions just let me know...we go to the Dell a LOT in the summer since we only live about an hour away. (In fact, we are going tomorrow..lol!!!).

We were there with our toddler a couple of years ago and his favorite things were Deer Park (wisdeerpark.com) and the Riverside & Great Northern Railway (a mini train ride). Have fun!

Go on the Ducks! So very beautiful and your son will really like them! The Dells were a tourist attraction *before* the water parks - because of the natural beauty. There is a ton to do there - Go to: http://wisdells.com/WisconsinDellsAttractions/index.cfm and you'll get a lot of other ideas.
Have fun!

Riverveiw Park is Great for the little one. Hiden Canyon tour is a nice place to cool down after a hot day. Tommy Bartlett Ski Show, Rick Willcocks Magic Theater. Captain Soma's Dell Dinner Course is a great time to spend with the hubby for a eveninng. They have a full bar and resturant. And it course around for 2 hrs. In Lake Delton on hwy 12 there is a Casino it is call Hochunk. Some hotels have buses to take you to and from the hotel. This might be good for grammy and they do have a daycare for the baby that has a fee.
Stay away from the StoryBook Garden it is Over priced and nothing to do.

I would ask your hotel for a Coupon Book they usually offer some sort of discounts to resturants and attractions and they have 800 # to call get prices on things.
