Hi J.,
Prevention Magazine... has a lot on this, per natural pain relievers. I read this magazine and like it... it has a lot of good articles for many health topics. And in this magazine I read that "tumeric" pills is good for pain/arthritis pain. Here is the link for those articles, per Prevention Magazine:

Here is the link, per "arthritis pain":

If that link doesn't work, just go to the Prevention Magazine website and type in the search word "arthritis pain" or, "arthritis."

Arthritis sufferers and conditions can vary... perhaps, get referred by your Doctor to a physical therapist... or, see an Arthritis Specialist, versus just a General Practioner.

My Uncle has bad arthritis too... and my grandma did.
Hope this helps,
take care,
Susan

Hi J.,

I think I might be able to help you. I developed arthritis at 12 and suffered with it until my first pregnancy at twenty-seven through me into blessed remission. (strange huh?) I am now thirty-nine with occassional flair ups.

As a teenager, I was prescribed lots of different strong anti-immflamatory which prevented me from being an active, social teenager. All of my medicines had side effects from naseau to dizziness. It was horrible.

In my early twenties I was introduced to a chiropractor whose best advice was fish oil. I took two capsuls four times a day. The results were amazing. In no time I was off all prescriptions and feeling wonderful. The amount that I took was above what the bottle recommends.

Now I take fish oil regulary. I get it from GNC. I have tried the cheaper brands but for some reason they do not make me feel as well. I take two a day. I would definately give it a try.

Also my sister is a big supporter of the glucosimine and chondritin supplements. She has arthritis in her shoulder and hip and that works for her. I tried it once and it really upset my stomach, so I stick with the fish oil.

Good luck.

C.

Hi J., check out this link. My mom uses the glucosamine 7 and I use it as well. I am 29 and have horrible arthritis on a toe I broke two years ago. I started taking the pills and it does not hurt at all anymore. The two weeks I went with out it made such a difference, that now I keep them on hand. Unfortunately arthritis never goes away completely. I also use joint health tubes that you add in water like crystal lite. I attached both links. hope this helps. There is a 6 month money back guarantee so its worth the try. take care.

I assume you meant something along the lines of Advil, but that as well as things like Aleve actually make arthritis worse.
Avoid any plant from the nightshade family as those tend to make it worse as well. Google this and you'll find a list of all of the foods you should not be eating.
