Does anyone know of a local bakery that can make a birthday cake in the shape of a mermaid? My daughter is so into Ariel that I would love to see her face light up with a fun/different cake.
Thanks in advance!

I forgot to let you know I'm in Medfield.

It might be a little far, but Bakery on the Common in Natick Center makes great cakes and I think they can make them in any shape you want. I got cupcakes from them for my 30th birthday and all the adults gobbled them up. They have a website - try googling them. (I also found their prices pretty reasonable, but I didn't get anything too fancy).

Daniel's in Brighton and Party Favors in Brookline. Two great bakeries.

Not sure you would want to travel this far for one but we got our daughters at Icing On The Cake in Newton. It is fabulous and she was so excited to see Ariel on it!

There are many great bakeries but it would help to know where you live.

Try Party Favors in Brookline - they did a Tigger cake for my daughter's 1st b-day that was outstanding (Tigger actually sitting atop the cake). My favorite place for cakes is Lyndell's in Somerville, though - the old fashioned birthday cakes w/lots of sugary icing. They won't do shaped cakes (aside from round/rectangular), but they did an Ariel cake for my daughter's 4th b-day that was beautiful - plastic Ariel on top but whole cake was blues, greens, bright colored corals, etc. - very oceany. Good luck!
