Got a cortisone shot yesterday. Told the doctor I was NOT pregnant just to go home and count days an realize that I'm late. Took two pregnancy tests...both positive. Praying everything will be ok.
You're just going to need to call the doctor's office and find out. That's what they are there for, and I promise you are not the first person to call with that question.
Do you have access to a phone? That's the easiest way to find out, call your doctor and ask.

call the dr that administered the shot and ask for the name and info of the shot you were given. then call the ob to discuss the safeness of it during early pregnancy
Why ask a bunch of strangers when with 1 phone call you'll get an answer? Give a call to your gyn.

My question to you is WHY did you not call your doctor? Why did you rush to the internet and ask people you don't even know?
CALL THE DOCTOR and ask him/her. That is the ONLY person who can/will tell you what is going on.
Typically steroid shots are "safe". However, I'm NOT a doctor, nor am I a pharmacist.
i'm sorry that both the doctor who gave you the shot and your OB/GYN are so inaccessible that you can't call them and get an actual professional opinion and are forced to go the internet to ask strangers.
i hope they get telephones or the internet soon.

Call your doctor! Only a doctor can answer this question.
If you're early in your pregnancy and if this is your first one, you don't yet realize that your doctor (primary care or OB/GYN) takes phone calls even if you don't have an appointment. Call up. It's not an emergency but someone will call you back, usually the same day. And this info should be entered into your record too. As of now, it doesn't sound like your primary care doctor knows you are pregnant, and your OB/GYN doesn't know that you had a cortisone shot. That's not a good way to handle your medical care and records.
I agree that it doesn't make sense to go on the internet, ask a bunch of non-professionals (brilliant as some of us may be!), but then have to WAIT for answers! Go to the experts, and don't waste many hours hoping enough of us come back with the answers you need. Some medications/shots have a role in causing pregnancy problems, while many others are safe. The only way to find out is to ask.
If you don't have a doctor yet, run on over to planned parenthood and speak to someone. They will be happy to help you. But you'll be fine. I don't think it will harm the baby at all.
