Hi Mom's,

Just wanting to rule out possible reasons my dishes are not getting clean before jumping to any conclusions with my dishwasher.

Does anyone use the seventh generation dishwasher deteregent? Does it leave your dishes spotty.

I have recently been having to re-wash my dishes a 2nd time because they are spotty. I tried using that rinse agent that you put into the dishwasher and its not fully remedying the situation.

It appears/sounds like my dishwasher is doing its job; my dishes just are not getting clean.....Any advice before going out and getting a new one.

Thanks,
K.

No but I just bought their laundry detergent and its breaking out my family. They all have little bumps on the back of their arms....Im switching back to Meyer's it smelled better and didn't give my family a break out. If thats any clue about the dishwashing detergent!!!

I don't use that kind of detergent because I have found a company that offers all natural products for the same price and sometimes even cheaper than others. They have several different lines of products. They work amazingly well! If you would like to learn more let me know. I don't distribute the products, but I can certainly teach you how to order from the company and they offer a 100% money back guarantee on everything!

I use the liquid kind, and it does a fairly good job. I have a very new dishwasher so I know what my issues are. I put white vinegar in the rinse cycle container (and sometimes I put a little in along with the detergent)...sometimes my dishes still come out spotty, but the vinegar seems to help. They are clean, though.

Hello Kelly,

has the water changed in your area? I notice it more around my sinks and tubs. for a while I used cascade for the first wash (open cup) and 7th generation for the second container. I noticed our family didn't get as sick. now I just use 7th generation for our dishes and its OK. make sure the water is hot enough --depends on your dishwasher's requirement.
good luck! ~C.~

I don't use that type of detergent. I did have a top of the line Maytag and I could wash my dishes spotless clean, put them in the dishwasher and they would come out dirty. This dishwasher was 3 yrs old.

I bought a new Kitchen Aid with the stainless inside in Feb 08 and had NO problems whatsoever.

I use the cascade with the dawn in it pack along with jet dry.

Best wishes to your family with your new addition.

Do a load with a different detergent to see if you get the same results or not.
