My husband and I plan on renting a movie tomorrow? Anyone seen any good ones, lately? My husband prefers horror, action and comedy. I like drama and comedy, but will watch a good horror or action. if there is one out there.

Anyone seen anything good lately?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the suggestions. I have seen a lot of the older ones, in fact own some of those. Especially the action ones, as my husband loves collecting those.

For now I think I'll look into Kings Speech, Due Date and/or Seven Pounds (Haven't seen any of those yet)

Love the Harry Potter movies and so does my husband, so we might look into that one too.

But again, I appreciate all the suggestions!! Have a great weekend!

Do you have Netflix? I could probably recommend a ton of wonderful movies...but most you won't find in a video store.

Have you ever seen Fargo? I don't even know how to categorize it....black comedy drama?

Then there's:
Keeping Mum
Death Sentence
A Perfect Getaway
Almost Famous
In Bruges
Death at a Funeral (British original version)
Payback
The Three Musketeers
SuperBad
Best in Show (VERY funny)
Hot Fuzz

He likes horror, I like movies that make me feel something
The movies we like to watch together are Suspense. I like when a movie can get my heart racing and on the edge of my seat. The kind that you try to figure out whats gonna happen or "who done it."
Unstoppable
Stone
The Tourist

We usually get a comedy too
Due Date

Next time he's out for the evening I'm going to get Black Swan and the Kings Speech

Vantage Point is pretty good. ( Its old one, but very well entertaining )
Mr. Brooks is a bit over the top about the mind of a serial Killer.....very on your seat with this one.... lots of twists and turns and Kevin Costner did a very good job in this.........but only could see this one once, it was a doosey for me and not my thing.

I just watched Seven Pounds. It is a tear jerker, but well worth it. I have a whole new respect for Will Smith after watching it. I also have seen lately...Get him to the Greek, Which was eh, only so so. It had some funny moments. I hate russell brand though.
My other favs...
HurtLocker
Black Swan
Juno
Spanglish
Incitivus(spl)..morgan freeman playing Nielson Mandela( this was highly recommended by my mom)
Catch and Release
Empire Records
That thing you do
Ten things I hate about you
Check out... . www.Rottentomatoes.com You can look stuff up by actor/actress and it gives great movie reviews made by real people. Not movie critics. I was just shown the website. It is amazing!!

We love the Harry Potter movies, so my husband rented the new one last weekend. It was wonderful and actually meets all of your criteria (if you've seen the others).

little fockers -- the ben stiller/robert deniro followup to meet the parents and meet the fockers. it was hilarious from start to finish, i was crying! especially the colonoscopy scene....

black swan is a good weird/kind of creepy film, may satisfy your need for horror in a way.

i recommend fockers for a good belly laugh.

City Island is one of the best movies I think I've ever seen. It's hard to categorize it. Maybe comedy, because it makes you laugh all the way through, but it's not silly. The topics it deals with are more serious. I've seen it several times and loved it every time. Everyone I know who has seen it loves it. Have a great movie night!

I always see them once they get onto DVD, so I don't know what's recent most days. BUT, I do love these and they make for great action....with no kids of course...

RED -- that is hilarious and action packed. You should def watch it!
Oldies but goodies and a couple newbies:
Bad Boys 1 & 2
Transformers 1
5th Element
I heard True Grit was good
Robin Hood (the new one)
Pride and Prejudice (with Keira Knightly--you might owe your hubby for that one)
DOOM
The latest Star Trek--not nearly as geeky as the old ones....my mum's a trekky... LOL!
Alien Verses Predator-the first one
For Funny, I know its cheesy, but I saw the Disney "Tangled" movie and it was a crack up. Lots of singing and "Disney" though. =)
