Hey there! I am helping out a friend who is looking for a story or two about an inspiring mom. He actually posted the following:

on the hunt for a story or two of divine motherly strength/compassion/courage. anybody read/seen/heard anything good?

Let me know if you know of anything and please post the link to the story. Thanks so much!

Here is a story my cousin wrote about the birth of her 3rd child. She went through a lot right before her daughter was born and the characteristics that you mention are definitely displayed in her story.

Just want to put my 2 cents in. I realize it's not an answer to your query, but your question moved me to comment.

While there are women with unique experiences out there, any good mother fits his criteria. For most of us it's the little, yet powerful, moments that are testaments to the love we have for our kids. Thankfully, most of us are not going to save our child from a burning building or sinking ship, but that does not lesson our strengh/passion or courage.

This is a local mom who's little girl is the same age as my son. When she was about 6 months old, she was diagnosed with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) - the leading genetic killer of infants. They didn't expect her to live to see her first birthday. She is now 19 months old and her parents are amazing. The link above is her blog, they have also set up a foundation and have been doing an amazing amount of lobbying and political work to get funding for SMA research. All this, while providing the most "normal" life for their baby that they can provide, all the while knowing each and every day with her may be her last. Frankly, I am not sure I could do it. I don't know where she finds the strength, but she is an amazing mom!

check out my dear friend Amy's blog She is the mother of two. Her youngest has down syndrome and she writes honestly and refreshingly about the trials and tribulations of raising kids.

What is this going to be used for?
If you could share any more details about this?

If a "story" is "published"... then they/he would need to get "permission" to then publish it....?
