They have them that look like stuff animals (the one I seen was a bear). Google nanny cams and A BUNCH will come up.

I had problems with one of my sitters, and looked into getting one. But I couldn't afford it. I ended up firing the babysitter anyways, because my daughter wasn't happy, she got caught in quite a bit of lies, she had friends/boys over when I told her not too, and she did things in my house I didn't approve of.

I am still looking into getting one. Hopefully when my $$$ situation is a little better.

If you are suspicious of anything or know your children are potentially being harmed then the caregiver is gone--fired. Or you need to talk like adults if it is something that can be worked out/corrected. Would you like your employer spying on you? In my opinion if this is someone you are trusting with your children(s) lives then you owe them the decency to talk through whatever the issue(s) might be before investing in something so intrusive. Remember you welcomed this person into your home and you can dismiss their services just as easily.

if need a camera to keep track of the person watching your child, it means you dont trust them, and something seems wrong but you cant prove anything, that being the case, get rid of the person, get them out of your house and away from you children..today.

Try Radio Shack. I picked mine up from there. It wasn't sold as a "nanny" cam, but instead as a security camera. But it worked! It was small and you could either try and plug it in or run in on batteries if you needed to. It also came w/ a microphone to pick up sound. Let's just say that sitter was fired so I am very glad I got the nanny cam.

If you have some feeling that something is wrong, get rid of the nanny.

I don't get the idea of spying on them.... if you don't trust someone with your child for any reason, it is time to get a new nanny, not become special agent nanny cam.

What are you waiting on someone to do so you can catch them? My child's safety would be first priority, not a nanny cam.

Oh, and if you do have a cam... some states require you to let nanny know she is on camera. Beware so something does not backfire and bite you back.

They seem to have what you are talking about. If I'm not being overly nosy, why do you think you should get one? Just to be safe or have you noticed disturbing things?

E.,

If you feel the need to use a nanny cam...that means you don't trust the person you have hired....I agree with T.F. spying on someone you have hired to watch your children never ends well. It's degrating for the person who you have trusted with your children. If you are worried about your childrens safety ...THAT should be your # 1 priorty. There are daycares that have cameras but all parties involved know about them. You should look into those kind of places if you want to keep an eye on your children at all times. My 3 years old is in full time preschool...I would love to be able to see what she is up to all day but I can't.... at some point you have to trust the people who you have given the responsiblity to care for your child. I know it's hard but it is possible...good luck finding what you are looking for!

I would get one of the ones that looks like a pen or is a small pin size camera that you can attach to the house in multiple places. I really hope that your child is safe and that you find out whatever you need to find out asap. Best wishes---I can't imagine keeping someone who i had great suspicion of. If the nanny is doing something illegal or terribly wrong, please, please, please report it to the police and make a report. Of course get rid of them at that time as well.
