Any Other Moms near Highland Park/North Dallas?

There are several early childhood PTAs in the area that cater to moms of children 0-5. It's a great way to meet other moms. These groups also have playgroups, mom's night out, monthly speakers, etc... and you can be as involved as you like - a little or a lot.
I've been a member of the North Dallas group (ndecpta.com), but I know there's a Preston Hollow group and a Park Cities group (University Park I think if you google it.)

I don't live in your area but meetup.com really is a great place to find a play group. I've joined several groups from that site and they have all been great. I highly recomend it!! :-)

Not in your area either...but you might want to check out http://www.metroplexbaby.com/ If you click on the "metromoms events" tab you will see the events they are hosting. It is a great way to meet other moms...I was in your situation when my Daughter was born and this is how I made most of my mom friends. They have all sorts of stuff and maybe something will fit your schedule. They also have a newsletter you can subscribe to that tells what is going on here in dallas and they have lots of give-aways.

Look for a preschool association for your area. Your local public school should be able to direct you. There are 3 in HPISD: Armstrong Bradfield Preschool Asso., Hyer PA, UPPA. It's a great way to meet moms in your area!

I live in Lake Highlands and am also looking for a playgroup for my 15 month old. Like you, I'm a working mother with a demanding job. I moved to Dallas from Ft. Hi T., I live in University Park and know that the Hyer Preschool Association is very active (my kids are now much older). I'm sure the other elementary preschool associations in HPISD are comparable. If you know which elementary your child will eventually attend, go to the website for that school's preschool association for details. Good luck!
