Any One Out There like Thinking up Baby Names?

I just found out I'm expecting again (YAY!!) and I know it's really early, but I find myself obsessed with thinking of baby names. Does anyone actually enjoy thinking up baby names? If so, what are some of the ones you decided on?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all of the ideas!! I realized I should have let you know who we already have in the family: Jason Alexander "Alex", Tiffanie Lynn, Niklaus Brogan Samson, and Charles Jameson. I only had a say in the last one, and people thought I was crazy for naming my baby Charles, but it really suits him, and he loves changing his nickname. He has been CJ, Charlie, Chaz, Chip and Chuck!

LOVE coming up with names!! None of the ones I grew up loving were used, but I love my kiddo's names!

My daughter is Kaelyn Cierra.
My oldest son is Cameron Monte (dad's middle name).
My baby is Keaton Isiah.

It was HARD to not name my sister's baby for her and keep my mouth shut :). Though Audrey Elizabeth is perfect too!

I'm not even pregnant but already have a list of names that I like. Once I hear a name I like, I write it on my list. Later I can scratch out the ones I change my mind about, but I have an ongoing list if/when I have number 2.

I can't share my whole list, as I am not a huge fan of a generally uncommon name becoming the norm (Jayden - how many Jayden's do I hear? Uggh. Too many). But I do like the name Nora for a girl (don't know but two) and I like the name Josiah or Dane for a boy.

We have 3 children - Emily Faith, Hailey Grace, and Logan Hunter...we are *hopefully* going to have another baby and I have been OBSESSING over names. My husband is probably so sick of hearing it! Lol. I think because it will be our last that I would like to name it after my Grandmother Lucille and call her Lucy if possible (if its a girl) and not really sure if its a boy. Girl names come soooo much easier to me, how about you?

I'm an older mom, so just my personal advice on this:

1) no weird names (people can't remember your kid's name)
2) no weird spellings (your kid will be stuck with that the rest of their lives)

I LOVE thinking up baby names. :-) I have had two pregnancies and the first thing I did was come up with names. My girls names are Pyper Maxine and Luna Marie. Boys names were Parker Lyle (I didn't care for the middle name) and Gavin Douglas.
Congratulations!!!

I have to agree with the other Melissa J (lol!) about loving thinking up names but hating trying to get the hubs to agree. We have a Michael Theodore & a Hailey Ann. Hailey would have been Michael's name if he had been a girl so, to save us from the Name Fight a 2nd time, we didn't even discuss names until I was far enough along to be able to tell whether or not our 2nd was a girl & then just stuck with what we would have used the first time around.

I wanted to name my son Hayden Alexander (my ex husband did not like it) we instead named our son Carson Allen. With my little girl I really wanted to name her Kiley Madyson instead we ended up with a Addison Nicole. Love both my kids names and they totally fit with their personalities.

i had names picked out when i was in my 20's but then when i finally became pregnant with my daughter at 36 and actually sat down to pick names then i had a different one. i sat and thought about can kids make fun of this name and i also wanted a name that i could shorten for a nickname. i then also wanted my Grandmother's name in her name as well - i also (in my 20's) thought my husband and i would pick the name but i got the say in the name since i am a single mother so the name that i came up with for my daughter was - Madison Jade-Beata. Beata was my Grandmother's. Great-Grandmothers and so on. it was hard to narrow it down. i also liked Aspen, Mackenzie or Joel, Hunter

Love it! I have at least 50 floating in my head at all times...the questions on here asking for suggestions or the name polls get huge responses! I tend to prefer classic names that aren't totally common but that you've heard before at least once.

I already have 2 boys (Trenton James and Jackson Timothy).

But if we were to have had a girl she would be Addison Lindsay.

If another boy was to be had he would have been Hudson Joel.
