I go in tomorrow morning for a CT and CA 125 blood test. A spot in pelvic area has some concern for doctors. Now I am concerned. I have pain in what I would call my ovary area, it throbs at night while laying down, it hurts my hips if I sit too long at work. I have taken aleve for pain, and waiting on doctors to help clear things up with the CT.

Mean while I am a little back and forth. I will be fine, this will be a simple fix...for REAL cancer!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

My lab came back normal. NO CANCER. Thank you Jesus! I do however have a cyst that is measuring 6 times larger than normal. Dr. says I am certian you are in pain, but I do not want to go back in for surgery. . I have a lot of scar tissue and it would be an open tummy surgery. So we go back in 6 weeks to remeasure to see if it is shrinking, if not may need to talk another fix.

I said a prayer that what ever the docs see is a benign growth and not cancerous. Best of luck!

You have to wait until you know the diagnosis. It is a hard long wait in a short amount of time. Try not to overthink what it could/could not be until you hear what the doctor has to say. I know easier said than done.

Right now you can't do anything until you know what you have.

I will keep you in my thoughts that all is well and whatever it is is benign.

Hugs Viola. Is this for ovarian cancer? I had breast cancer nine years ago. Sending good thoughts your way for your results. Please let us know. I hope that there will be another explanation for your symptoms.

Stay positive. I had an ovarian cancer scare when my first child was 6 mos old. Had surgery scheduled when the supposed tumor started to shrink. Turns out it was a huge, but harmless, hemorrhagic cyst which looked really suspicious on film. Painful, but it eventually cleared up on it's own. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I had abdominal pain and eventually learned that the spot they were concerned about was a cyst. I've been thru the waiting for the results of a CA 125 blood test after the CT scan was inconclusive. I urge you to just keep thinking that this will be OK. It's just as likely to be something else as it is to be cancer, unless your doctor told you differently.

I've had part of a lung removed with cancer. I, once more went thru all the tests and after a biopsy learned that I had a carcinoid cancer in my lung. I continued to believe that I would be alright and here I am 10 or more years later and I'm fine, cancer free.

Yes, it's scary but thinking the worst doesn't help. Remind yourself over and over that you will be OK. This will help you manage waiting in a less painful way.

Viola, I hope I can always answer your question with a no, but I just want to say that I'm sending my best to you in hopes that they will find a simple answer to what is happening to you, one that does not involve cancer.

Hugs and prayers, Viola~

Wow, I have the same exact pain. It almost feels like it's my ovarie throbbing, but sometimes it feels as if it where right in my right hip bone. Mine also hurts more when I'm sitting at work and sometimes while standing if I have overworked myself like this weekend preparing my dad's 60th bday. I don't have insurance so I can't get checked out :( I'm at a loss as to what I should do. I did end up in the ER for the same pain a few months back and they told me I had a large cyst on my uterus (not a fibroid, just a cyst) but they didn't seem too concerned about it. Now I'm wondering if it could be related to my pain or if it could be something irrelevant.
