Help! My 8 week old loves her Pooh mobile and her Hello Kitty mobile - but they only last about 5 minutes - we can only find Fisher Price and Baby Einstein that last 15 or 18 minutes with music - we want one withOUT music, but WITH motion. (NO music, and YES motion) Any suggestions?? Thanks!!

What can I do next?

We have a Sassy mobile, the Deluxe Music in Motion one. It doesn't have a silent mode, but in white noise mode with the volume turned all the way down it's pretty quiet. It definitely lasts longer than 5 minutes, but I'm not sure how long. My daughter loved it and now my son does. As a bonus, the mobile pieces can be taken down and used as toys.

My DD LOVED her FP Aquarium, you can set it to run w/o the music and it lasts quite a while. There are also newer ones that actually have a remote control so you can start it from outside the room.

You can buy the Fisher Price thing that attaches to the crib or any other brand. They project a light show onto the ceiling, kind of like a ceiling mobile.. if you will. You can turn the music off or and on and most of them go up to 18-20 minutes. My daughter loved her mobile and we had the same problem that it didn't last long enough. Once we bought the projection thing she would watch it and eventually fall asleep like with the mobile. I know they range from $20 to $50. The one that we had and loved was the VTech Nighty Nite Nature Light Smart Response System and it's $24.97 at Walmart. It also has all the songs and nature noises that your daughter will probably like when she's a little older. Hope this helps. :-)

I got the one from target its the jungle theme one from fisher price. My daughter loves it. Not very girly, but it keeps her entertained! It has a remote too and it will do what ever the setting is on. It music, lights, and turning mobile. You can do what ever combitanion your daughter wants. Mine likes the mobile and lights, no music. The light thing attaches to the crib, so when they get older you can leave it there, and just take off the mobile part. I think the cost was about $35?

We have the Fisher Price "ocean wonders aquarium" as well. We LOVE it. My son loves it. He is 19 months old now and still loves it, and can operate it on his own. And yes, there is a remote control for it. It "grows" with your child and they will like it even when older. At a certain age, your baby will "outgrow" mobiles.

You can find it at www.amazon.com It is more expensive now, than when I got it. But it is a great crib musical toy. It has various settings, with or without music, and there is motion.
