Any Good Family Ski Destinations in VT/NH ?

I am thinking about planning a vacation for my family in Dec/Jan and since we are new to New England, I have no clue what's good. We've never had much more than an inch of snow (from the south) so I'd love to take everyone to a ski resort and take lessons. I need a place good for children (4, 6 & 9) and a place that offers equipment rental (we have none). It doesn't have to be a resort, I don't mind a small cabin or something, actually the cheaper the better! Any tips or suggestions would greatly be appreciated!

Bromley Mountain in Manchester Vermont is a great family mountain. They have the snoopy ski school for kids. It is a great mountain for beginners, intermediates and even has some advanced trails. I grew up in New Jersey and every year my family made the trek up to Vermont for a fun family vacation. Bonus - Manchester has great outlet shopping and restaurants. Have fun!

Bolton Valley in Burlington VT is an awesome family place. Smuggler's Notch is a nice place as well.

there are so many mountains- VT is especially beautiful I think, but it is a little further. There are usually rental listings in the paper in the classified section- also a travel agent would be helpful -Good luck

I am not sure where you live but we have a 2BR/2Bath condo in Bartlett, NH (about 2.5 hours from Boston)that is part of a rental program. It is minutes from Attitash. I have a 3 and 5 years old and have not taken them skiing but everyone has told me that my children are age-appropriate for Attitash and that they have good lessons for the young kids too. The condo sleeps 6 people and has a fully-equipped kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, living room, dining room that sits 6, and washer and dryer in the unit. You can get information on everything at www.LMGNH.com and request to rent out Nordic Village Unit #I78. If you would like more information, please email me directly at ____@____.com Fun.
