Any Good Cleaning Tips?

I have beautiful cherry cabinets that are being ruined by my kid's spilling milk when sitting at our kitchen's island- any suggestions on how to remove the stained milk would be very appreciated! I have tried pledge, cabinet cleaner, etc...basically everything you can buy in the store.

What can I do next?

Hi B.,
Try using vaseline, I swear it works on stains on wood. Also, I have heard Pam cooking spray helps. Good luck. L.

Try Murphy's Oil Soap diluted with some water. I make a bucket full and wipe cabinets down with a sponge. I use that on my cabinets several times a year for grease and stains.

I've heard putting a little mayonnaise on them works! Put it on, let it sit for a few minutes, then rub it off (please look it up, I'm not sure about the exact details!), but a friend of mine who owns a furniture restoration business told my husband to do this.

Hey B., I use great products from a wellness company. They have no harsh chemicals and they work better then brand name cleaners. Let me know if you want more information on how to get them. (It is great knowing you have safe products around kids.)

I think I would have to google information about that type of wood cleaning. Or maybe even marthastewart.com? Good luck.

Hi B.,
How to Remove Milk and Cream Stains From:
Wood

Mix dishwashing detergent in hot water and swish to make a great volume of suds. Dip a cloth in only the foam and apply. Rinse with a clean cloth dipped in clear water and squeezed almost dry. Polish or wax as soon as possible.

Too much calcium is bad for your wardrobe. These tips will let you get rid of those stains permanently.

Baby wipes are the only thing that removes milk safely from my leather car seats. Not even leather cleaner takes it off. Anyway, you could try that . . . I'm sure you've got those laying around.

I use method cleaning products. They work great and are safe around kids and pets! They sell them at Target and Stop and Shop has a small selection.
