Lorelei
Vera (possibly Veronica and Vera for short)
Veda
Claire
Helen
Elise

I've got all of those names in my family sprinkled around the relatives--just change Julia to Julianna (Well, no Veda).

My new little neighbor born early in May is Vera Jane!

Lorelei and Veda....both VERY pretty!

You can't go wrong with either of them, IMO.

~Good Luck! Naming them was always THE hardest part for me!

I love Julia, I wanted that for one of my daughters, but at the time i knew like 3 people with a Julia newborn. Next i like Lorelei.
Call me weird by my first daughter was going to be Ayla after a favorite book series. Clan of the Cavebear. My husband put a kabosh on it.

Just wanted to say I had a list of at least 4 when my daughter was born. I took one look at her and the decision was easy. There was only one that truely fit her. I think you should keep all your choices and wait to see her. Good Luck!

I like them all BUT Lorelei and Veda.

Lorelei - the poor thing will be spelling her name until the day she dies. Not sure if you've scanned any other question like this but there is usually one or two teachers that respond saying that they have children that literally burst into tears in their class rooms (K-5) b/c their names never get pronounced correctly and are never spelled correctly and apparently it is very overwhelming for the child.

Veda - sounds too much like Aveda, the company.

Kids have it so hard today... and there is so much bullying, why give a child a name that gives people one more reason to pick on them for?

Do any of the other names have family or heritage significance? That's always great when you can say your name is b/c of Grandma or we're of Irish, etc. decent.

Best of luck w/ your decision and congrats on your little girl!!
