I just had a garage sale and I want to donate everything that didn't sell. It's a ton of stuff and I don't have room in my car to haul it somewhere (nor the energy with a baby in tow). Do you know of any churches/thrift shops/etc. that will come and pick up donation items from your house?

You can call the am vets in your area and they will pick it up and give a receipt for taxes.

There are several groups that call us from time to time. Because that is often what we do with our abundance,we seem to be on several phone lists for this sort of thing. You would think that I could think of them all, but the only one that comes to mind now is AmVets. I would google organizations that need household and clothing donations.
Sometimes, I simply put things in my front yard with a FREE sign on them, and by nightfall, they are all or mostlly gone.
I don't know in which area you are at. Edgewood Children's Ranch will pick up donated items depending on where you live. They are in Orlando, by MetroWest. Their # is ###-###-####. They have a Thrift Shop in Winter Garden that helps support the organization or if they are items that can be used in the cottages where the kids live they will use them there (or in the classrooms).

This is a clothing donation place for women, men and children that will come and pick it up. Here is the number, they called me but I could not understand who they were... ###-###-####. Hope this helps. Also I have a friend who is looking for things for her church nursery (they are a new church). If you give me your number I can call her and let her know you have items to donate and I am sure that she will pick them up. Good luck.
