Yes, you COULD be pregnant, but I'd think you'd know your body after doing this twice already. Give it another week and test again if you haven't started. Call the Doc and ask what they have to say. After all, phone calls are free and are often reassuring.

Who know's, maybe you're having a boy, so you don't "feel" pregnant like with your girls! :O) ~J.

There is definitely a chance! I took a pregnancy test that said negative & a couple of weeks later I went to the doctor because of stomach issues and found out that I was pregnant! (hence the stomach issues) Supposedly, there is new pregnancy tests now that can detect early on, but I don't know how accurate it is. Maybe just wait it out a couple of more weeks to see if you have your period and if not, try the test again or go take a blood test at your doctors.

Take care!

There could be a few more things that can cause you to be late. If you've changed your eating habits or been excercising more or less than normal you could tweak out your period. You also could have gotten a bad test. If you have the option to have a free pregnancy test done by your doctor or a clinic, I think you should. Just to make sure you didn't get a bad test. Or if you want to spend the money, you could get another at home test and take that one. You just might have been to early to catch.

I've heard that stress and medication can disrupt a woman's cycle.

I've also had friends that were pregnant that did not show a positive sign until they were in their 2nd trimester.

stress, what you eat or don't eat, weight gain, or maybe the test was wrong. did you use morning urine? if you don't get your period soon, and tests keep coming up negative, see your doctor. they could do a blood test. Also, a tubal pregnancy can produce negative test results.

desirae, i am experiencing the same thing right now. i am on day 43 of my cycle and am never late. i have a 7 yr old saon and all of the tests i took with him said negative. i spoke to my dr yesterday and she said that her urine test is the same as the ones i can get at the store. you need to wait another week or so and go do a blood test. the dr told me that they dont start to worry until i am 3 months late for my period; especially when the home test all say negative.
dont stress out about it; that only makes it worse for you. take care of yourself as though you are pregnant and just see what happens.
good luck

That happened to me! I am now 5 months pregnant. I took the test and it came out neg. Then I took it 2 days later and it was pos. So maybe just wait a couple more days. Ive heard that stress can play tricks on you. I was also wondering if I was pg and waiting was not fun, but I think I waited like a day and then took the test right when I woke up (the first urine) and it came out pos. Hope everything turns out good!

Desirae,

I would wait until you are 2 weeks late to really determine if your pregnant, before 2 weeks most EPT's are not very accurate. Also, a woman's hormones change every 5 to 6 years so you may be in a changing cycle due to stress or just normal biological reasons. If at 2 weeks the EPT test comes positive then you have your answer, if it comes out negative then I would contact your OB-GYN for further assistance.

I experienced a time when the same thing happened to me. I even felt pregnant, but I was not. Instead, my body was responding to a couple of dramatic changes and added stress in my life. I am mostly a calm person, but this time I had internalized anxiousness, fear and worry more deeply than I thought. About a few weeks later, my "pregnancy" turned into a yeast infection. When my circumstances changed and things began to feel more normal, my period returned. Perhaps this is similar to your case.

I have taken home pregnancy test with two of my kids that were all negative for about 4 weeks. The home ones arent as strong as the dr. ones. Wait a week and call the Doc.
