Two Days ago I woke up with the worst cramps. They were so bad, that I had to ask my husband to stay home for a couple hours to help with my kids. I was bloated as well. Now my period is not due until next week. It is 2 days later and the cramps are still there, but not as bad. I'm still bloated though. This is so unlike a normal period. So I started worrying that I was pregnant. I already have 2 kids and my youngest is only 14 months old. We have talked about have a third, but we are not financially there yet plus our house is pretty small.

I'm probably worrying about nothing, but do you guys think this is a pregnancy symptom or just a weird menstral symptom/month. I hate that I have to wait a week to see if my period comes.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

So I am not pregnant ... phew! My period came a few days early so I didn't even get a chance to take a test. Must have been random really bad pre-menstrual cramps! Thanks for your help!

I've never waited until my actual date of my period being due to test, I always tested at least a week to 10 days sooner and any time was pregnant, it showed posotive, sometimes faint but still clear. If you're worried and you're only one week away get a test. To me, it sounds like typical pms, sometimes symptoms are worse than other months. With my most recent pregnancy, I found out when I was 2 1/2 weeks pregnant, pregnancy is USUALLY detected 10 days after conception. Most women don't know that but it's true. So go buy a cheapy test, maybe the $4 Walmart single test, if it's negative, then DON'T test again until you acutally miss your period. Good luck, hope everything turns out for you!

I would take a pregnancy test (the early testing kind) and if it is negative wait a few days and try again.

If it were me I would go to the local dollar store and buy a test. I tested positive over a week before my period was due with all my pregnancies. You are only out a dollar.

could be many things...not to freak you out or suggest that it is this, but I had really bad stomach cramps after my son was born, and they would come and go - very random...it turned out that I needed to have my gall bladder removed. I know several (really, several) people who have experienced the same thing. I would see what happens in the next week and then perhaps talk to your doctor!
